Overwhelmingly no. The problem is not that families are forming and couples are trying to have children and failing. There is always a little bit of that, but the overwhelming story is that people don't want kids and don't take the steps towards having them. And this is a global problem, resisted only to a limited degree by a modest number of dissident subcultures. Africa is behind the curve, but very much falling down the same trajectory. And the Muslims and Hispanics that xenophobes like to rail against are very far down the same slope as well.
I hear you, but for sperm counts to go down 50% from the 1940s. I don’t know what that’s about. It definitely needs more study. Of course, feminism has a lot to do with it.
