I use it, too. I do a lot of vigorous hikes and a bit of resistance training in the gym. I’ve been on a weight-loss and sarcopenia prevention journey since last July and my muscle mass has increased as weight has come down. Is it doing anything? Who knows? But my numbers look pretty good and I’m preserving muscle mass at 74.
For a while before covid I went to a fitness center. One of the trainers told me that creatine was actually developed to help prevent muscle loss in the elderly, not as a supplement for body builders! It sounds like you are benefitting on both counts!
I started using it a few months ago. It took less than a week for me to decide I would keep using it. I’m 68. It helps me recover from jogging and weight lifting.
