WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — City officials have released body camera footage showing last year’s arrest of Victoria Lang from a McDonald’s in Wichita Falls, Texas. Former police officer Daniel Wilson has been indicted in connection with the case.
On August 26, 2025, former Wichita Falls Police officers Wilson and Douglas Gulley were called to the McDonald’s in response to a person refusing to leave the restroom.
At the scene, Wilson and Gulley found Victoria Lang, 21, in the bathroom. She refused to identify herself or provide identification to the officers.
The footage shows Wilson and Gulley carrying Lang out of the restroom and building, forcing her to the ground outside. While removing her bag from her, Wilson is seen forcefully putting his hand on Lang’s neck and pushing her down.
Lang tries to stand up, but Wilson pushes her back to the ground and commands her to stay down. Then, Wilson grabs her by the ankles and drags her into the parking lot to the squad car.
Gulley and Wilson then pick Lang up and put her into the back of the squad car on her stomach with her legs twisted into the figure-four hold position.
During this time, neither officer gives Lang verbal commands to move. Lang was not combative, not yelling or screaming, and not creating a scene, a report released earlier this month found.
The full 20-minute video of the arrest can be watched below:
Following her arrest, Lang had been charged with interfering with public duties and resisting arrest. Those charges have been dropped.
Yep, it is them again Yogi
So does certain members of the public.
LEO’s receive training to apply pressure points for non-compliance you want that or just drag her?
> How are the police supposed to fill out the trespass paperwork, if they do not ID her? <
That’s an interesting question. It does present a problem. But I still think the 4A applies in such situations, and should take precedence.
So the police could list her as a Jane Doe, with a description. And tell the property owners to call if they see her again. Then arrest her for trespass after warning.
She was exercising her right to remain silent.
Public servants must learn to respect that.
That's an important point ... the accused trespasser must first be warned, ordered to leave, and given the opportunity to do so.
You have a right to not id in some circumstances, you don’t have a right for non-verbal. Short story, tell them your name receive you warning and leave.
So, tell me Sgt Rock how long would you have stood there in a stalemate? 5 minutes, 2 days? Call for more back-up? What are they going to do stand there with you?
Remaining silent covers self-incrimination, not your name.
Will you expect liability on the officer’s part if they just left her there and they left and she went back in and shot someone, like the manager for disrespecting her? You’d be calling for their heads.
You absolutely have the right to remain silent. Personally, and this is not legal advice, I would suggest that you should explicitly state that you are exercising that right, then shut up. Referring to the willful exercise of a God-given, Constitutionally protected right with mental-health diagnostic terminology is very prejudicial.
What are they going to do stand there with you?
If they want me to leave, their best bet would be to simply allow me to do that. Unless, of course, it's a public place where I have a right to be. In that case, they can quit harassing me. A McDonalds restroom is not such a public place, of course, so the first part applies.
Remaining silent covers ... remaining silent.
“commands her to stay down. Then, Wilson grabs her by the ankles and drags her into the parking lot to the squad car.”
Good luck in any future interactions with that mind set.
I think the guy had the patience of Job. Wichita Falls does not deserve to have a police department if this is how they treat their officers. I hope that this event opens new doors for him and that he finds a job where he is appreciated. The indictment should be dismissed. He could not have treated her any more gently. He had no way of knowing if she had a gun in her pack or not.
I did not suggest that ... Trespassers should be escorted off the property ... taken to jail if defiant. That's actually a felony in many (most? all?) States. The public servants in this case weren't just arresting someone, they were exacting punishment for "Contempt of Cop" ... and that's why they were fired. I really like body cameras ... and Private Citizen cameras. They keep public servants honest. Or, at least, less dishonest.
This kind of passive resistance is difficult to handle. They had to move her to effectuate an arrest, so I really don't know what cops are supposed to do in such cases. I would think they are authorized to use the minimum amount of force needed, but if they couldn't carry her, they probably should have called for backup to get enough people to do so.
The main thing is to remain calm and don’t fall for the public servant’s attempts to goad you into a fight. (S)he’s just being an asshole; it’s in their nature.
“taken to jail if defiant”
Like she was from the start. She had every chance to leave before the police arrived when she was asked by manager. They took several minutes or longer to get there. She made no effort leave she stayed in the restroom and pouted throwing her arms around like a ghetto drama queen. It’s on video.

I know ... It's in the UK. Still ... no need to drag the person across the ground.
When I was at Ft. Sill, on Fridays we would travel 55 miles to The Rocket Bar in Wichita Falls for the catfish nuggets.
