A suspect in a mass shooting at Arcadia Lake on Sunday night has been taken into custody, according to an arrest warrant.

EDMOND, Okla. — A suspect in a mass shooting at Arcadia Lake on Sunday night was arrested Wednesday and is now facing a murder charge.

What we know At about 9 p.m. Sunday, May 3, a mass shooting happened during a party at Arcadia Lake in Edmond, Oklahoma 18-year-old Jaylan Davis was arrested in connection to the shooting. At least one other suspect is believed to be outstanding One person died, and 22 others were injured by gunfire after the shooting occurred at the Scissortail Campground pavilion The youngest victim was 15 years old Police say the shooting began after a fight broke out between rival gang members at the party At least 80 rounds were fired during the altercation, according to Edmond police Suspect arrested in connection with shooting An 18-year-old man, who was identified as Jaylan Davis, was taken into custody at the Edmond city jail. He was booked on a complaint of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and was given a $1 million bond.

Edmond Police Chief J.D. Younger said charges are now being upgraded to felony murder after a victim died two days after the shooting.

Play Video Davis turned himself into the Edmond Police Department after an arrest warrant was issued for him. He is accused of firing shots at a lake party in the Scissortail Campground pavilion, where at least one person died and 22 others sustained firearm-related injuries, including gunshot wounds, graze wounds and shrapnel injuries.

Police said at least one additional suspect is believed to be at large.

Police executed a search warrant, during which a "rifle light, .40, and 7.62 caliber ammunition were located" at Davis' home. The brand of 7.62 ammunition "matched the same brand of ammunition of several of the 7.62 spent cartridge casings that had been recovered at the crime scene," according to the affidavit.

Davis' mother told police the suspect had left home at about 5 p.m. Sunday to attend a party. She had not seen him or been able to contact him since.

Oklahoma County DA to file murder charges Oklahoma County District Attorney Vicki Behenna said she will file a charge of felony murder in the first degree against Jaylan Davis.

“In high-profile cases like this, it is important that law enforcement take the time necessary to conduct a thorough and careful review that protects the integrity of both the case and any future prosecution,” said Behenna. “Every step must be handled properly, including safeguarding information among partner agencies while the investigation remains active. As with other major cases, investigators must work diligently and confidentially to gather and analyze evidence to ensure everyone responsible is held accountable.”

If convicted, the sentence for felony murder in the first degree is life or life without the possibility of parole.

What led up to the shooting? An affidavit says that the shooting happened after a fight broke out between members of rival gangs who were at the party. Those involved in the fight began firing among the crowd, striking multiple people at the party.

At least 80 rounds were fired during the altercation, according to Edmond police. Several weapons were believed to be used in the shooting.

Witnesses described the gunfire as automatic, possibly from a Glock with a "switch" attached, according to the affidavit. Casings found at the scene also indicated a 9mm handgun and 7.62 caliber rifle ammunition were used in the shooting.

Who are the victims?

The Edmond Police Department confirmed an 18-year-old woman, who was previously in critical condition, died after she was injured in a shooting Sunday night. KOCO confirmed that the high school senior Avianna Smith-Gray was the woman who died.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Smith-Gray's family. Anyone who would like to donate can do so here.

The Edmond Police Department confirmed the youngest victim in the shooting is 15 years old. A total of six juveniles were injured at the party.

At least 23 people sustained firearm-related injuries. Of those, Integris Health said five people remained hospitalized as of Wednesday morning.

OU Health confirmed its Level I Trauma Center received five patients directly following the shooting.

"It's my understanding there's one still hospitalized, maybe more. I don’t have exact numbers on that. But the majority have been treated and released," Younger said on Wednesday afternoon.

“ What led up to the shooting?”

Lyndon Johnson and his “Great Society.”

From the article: ...several of the 7.62 spent cartridge casings that had been recovered at the crime scene...

Sounds like gangstas with their Dracos.

A gangsta party without at least 100 rounds shot off is considered a dull affair.

The question is: will this event lead to 23 fewer recording contracts, or 23 more recording contracts?

Asking for the bee.

I mean... rap doesn’t make itself.

I give the Edmund police credit for making a quick arrest.

This could have happened in lot of places, I’m think blue cities and states, where police interviews yields a 100 hundred witnesses who saw “nuffin”.

And the police shrug their shoulders and the case eventually goes cold.

Knuckledraggers being knuckledraggers. They don’t fit in infesting a civilized world.

I wonder what that one suspect did that was so outstanding. Did he hit the target frequently?

I lived in Edmond in the 80s. It was a predominantly white town of 45,000. Today, it’s 100,000 and more “diverse.” Arcadia Lake used to be a nice, safe place with very little diversity.
