POTUS announced yesterday, to great fanfare that the US would begin escorting commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
It was to begin on Monday.
The daylight hours of Monday have passed in the Persian Gulf.
Has anyone heard of a ship being escorted through? I can't find anything.

It has to be true that any given MV skipper is particularly excited to be the first to take Uncle Sam up on this offer!
Guinea pig and all that rot!
That said, it would be nice if someone would volunteer.
...not particularly excited...
The captains of these commercial vessels have to get the okay from their owners and insurance companies first. That will probably take a few phone calls from Trump.
Read later statements at CFP about how it will be done.
what is cfp?
I just saw a couple of articles that said two ships have been escorted through.
Just stop it, Trump Admin, get on with it. Stop talking and start bombing. The current scenario over there isn’t going to get any better. Even if you starve them, that only hurts the populace; their cult leaders don’t care. We will never get the uranium, nor the Gulf freely open at this rate, and the Trump Admin is running out of mid-terms time. STOP DAWDLING! Geez....
Probably made up as a market manipulation because oil was getting too high again. Remember, it was just two days ago he notified Congress that the war was over.
He just says things off the cuff now.
