I just filled out a survey in Pocatello oriented to interest in supporting the Idaho National Lab (90 miles northwest in Arco) in rolling out SMR installations. The interest scope included new businesses in Pocatello that support the SMR fabrication as well as interest in hosting an SMR in the Pocatello region. Having worked around the industry since 1991, I'm supportive of the effort. We enjoy good electrical power rates in the Pocatello area principally from hydroelectric sources. My neighbors working at "the site" AKA INL are working on the SMR devices. I may live to see that come to fruition.

I had no idea that SMR development and installations were being worked on in Idaho. But it makes sense that one of the most conservative states would be a leader in this.

I hope you live that long too. My problem is I retired from there it 2016. I started out there in 1971. Nothing moves fast and we bounced whichever way the politicians wanted and it changed every 4 years. It is what it is but we need SMR now and I’m sure I won’t be here if it ever happens. Be safe
