China accused the Philippines of landing personnel on a disputed reef in the South China Sea on Sunday (May 3) as Manila said it would dispatch ships to drive off Chinese vessels it said were conducting research illegally.

The exchange extends a run of heightened tension between China and the Philippines, a United States ally, over Sandy Cay, an unoccupied sandbar in the South China Sea.

On Sunday, China's Coast Guard said it had identified five Philippine personnel who had landed on Sandy Cay, an action Beijing termed "illegal," according to state-run media outlet Global Times.

Don’t those Filipinos know that everywhere Zhang Hua sailed 500 years ago is traditionally part of China?

I would love to see some action in that part of the world.
Without us, of course.

Sometimes I think we would have been better if we told the Japs, ok, you can stay in China, and we’ll give you all the oil you need, as long as that’s as far as you go.

When I consider what was done to the Nationalists under Chiang Kai-shek after WWII, even though I was not alive to see it first hand, it makes me angry.

He was stabbed in the back at the top levels by Roosevelt, Truman, and Marshall, orchestrated by three communist “expert” spies who had infiltrated our government and the Chinese government in the form of John Stewart Service (State Department) Solomon Adler (U.S. Treasury attaché) and the U.S.-educated Chinese economist Chi Chao-ting (Chinese government, Kuomintang)

All three were Communists (All three lived in the same house in China!) and fed a steady stream of poison about the Nationalist government, while touting the Communists in glowing terms as “agrarian reformers”.

All three collaborated on their reports and uniformly stated the US should cut off aid to Chiang Kai-shek and support the Communists. The inept Secretary of State Marshall went right along with Harry Dexter White (Treasury Department) Lauchin Currie (White House Staff!!!!) Alger Hiss (State Department) and John Carter Vincent (State Department) convinced Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau to slow-walk a promised loan of $200 million in gold to the Nationalists, saying it would be money thrown away.

Disgusting. That is why we are where we are today.

Joseph McCarthy was spot on about these people. All of them.
