SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California’s June 2 primary election is approaching, with ballots set to begin arriving for registered voters Monday.
In the weeks leading up to Election Day, voters will receive four key pieces of mail: a state voter information guide, a county voter information guide, a sample ballot and an official ballot.
“Democracy is a messy business, and it can take some work,” political analyst Steve Swatt said. “And it’s incumbent on us as voters to do our homework.”
At the top of the ticket is the race to succeed Gov. Gavin Newsom, a contest that analysts say remains wide open.
“We have a governor’s race right now that’s pretty diffused,” Swatt said. “You have eight major candidates, no one really stands out, it hasn’t captured a lot of attention or the imagination of the public.”
The field includes eight leading candidates — two Republicans and six Democrats.
Recent shakeups include Democrats Betty Yee and Eric Swalwell dropping out. Swalwell stepped aside following allegations of sexual assault, which he has denied.
But important for voters to keep in mind, both candidates’ names will still appear on the primary ballot because state law does not allow removal after a certain date.
A Berkeley-IGS poll released Friday found that among registered California voters who said they are less likely to vote in the primary, 38% cited a lack of information about issues and candidates. Another 35% said they were turned off by campaign contributions and “special interests,” while 28% said they believed their vote does not matter.

Swalwell not actually in the running....
Hey, if Detroit and Chicago and other cities have substantial numbers of dead people voting Dem in the elections, and the GOP and Dems have NOT properly reformed the shoddy registration, record keeping and vote verification system despite both parties’ voters wanting them to, along with voter ID, then why not have someone getting votes who is no longer running.
Swalwell is on the ballot.
Yes. That’s what I’m saying. May as well have him on the ballot and getting votes in a system that allows other things we don’t like.
The media seems awfully concerned that the 2 Republicans might actually win.
Fun fact. Democracy isn’t mentioned anywhere in the Constitution.

611,000 ballots walked through the door in Riverside County during California’s Prop 50 special election. 657,000 votes got certified to Sacramento. That’s 45,896 votes — the population of a small city — that appeared out of thin air with zero paper trail.

First came the phone calls. Then the threatening letters. Then on March 24th, 2026 — Bonta filed an EMERGENCY WRIT with the California Court of Appeals to stop the count entirely.
Why would the top law enforcement officer in California file an emergency court order to stop someone from counting paper?
California law destroys those ballots in May 2026. Run out the clock. Shred the evidence. Case closed forever.

How many politicians in CA (mayors, city councils, judges, school boards) are in office illegally via voter fraud for how many decades? That would make all laws, regulations, etc. null and void including the two (2) RECALLS of Greasy Newsum that were claimed to be defeated.
