I've warned for months that a @JetBlue -@SpiritAirlines merger would have led to fewer flights and higher fares.
@JusticeATR and @USDOT were right to stand up for consumers and fight against runaway airline consolidation.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up with some parts of it. If memory surge correct, only JetBlue and Frontier now have an all Airbus fleet. I believe frontier exclusively flies the A320 series as did Spirit. JetBlue still
Has some E Jets and they also fly the A319 and A220 as well.
I had one pop in my YouTube feed tonight, that was supposed to maybe eight hours before the spirit officially went belly up. Most of the comments were referencing things to the effect of over the next 6 to 12 months or so, these videos are going to dry up as it usually takes time to get information about actual current, FOIA the video, actually get it, etc.

Some airlines have configured the A220 to have 19 inch wide seats in economy. This sounds convenient for (American) passengers “of size”.
The A220 is actually a really nice plane. I flew on a Breeze A220 in the Nicer extra legroom seats and it was very comfy for an aircraft of that size.
