Patients being allowed to diagnose their own diseases or health needs and the prescription for these is a disaster waiting to happen. Taking these meds on their own terms as a "talisman" against diseases they are likely to be exposed to guarantees disease pathogen mutation, resulting in more drug resistant strains. Doesn't directly affect me, but it most definitely affects public health.
