A teacher at a pre-K and kindergarten in Cincinnati, Ohio, is facing intense backlash and calls for her termination after posting a video expressing her disappointment that President Donald Trump survived the latest assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.
Corinne Baum, whose LinkedIn says she is a teacher at The Children’s House in Cincinnati, a private Montessori-style school, posted a video lamenting the news that the gunman’s attempt on the president’s life had failed.
“Man, there’s been a few creators on here saying that like Friday or yesterday could have been the day, and then I wake up to THAT news but not THAT news,” Baum says in the video.
The “THAT news” she was hoping for was clearly the assassination of President Trump.
Instead, she woke up to reports that the 31-year-old suspect, Cole Tomas Allen of Torrance, California, had been tackled and arrested by Secret Service after charging a security checkpoint.

Backlash was immediate and widespread, especially after it was posted by the wildly popular Libs of TikTok X account.
Social media users quickly began pulling up other TikTok videos she has posted showcasing her unhinged views.
Parents, lawmakers, and conservative commentators flooded social media calling for Baum’s immediate termination and for the Ohio Department of Education to review her teaching credentials.
One reply to the Libs of TikTok post shared the official Ohio educator misconduct reporting link, which can be found here.
As of Sunday evening, the Children’s House website appeared to be down or experiencing technical difficulties amid the public outcry.
Allen was seen in surveillance footage sprinting past metal detectors, opening fire, and exchanging shots with Secret Service agents before being tackled and subdued.
One agent was struck but unharmed thanks to his protective vest.
Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other officials were quickly evacuated from the stage but were not injured.
The shooter wrote in his manifesto that he was there to target members of the administration.
Allen was also a teacher who was awarded a “Teacher of the Month” honor in December, 2024.
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro has confirmed Allen has been charged with at least two counts so far, using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault on a federal officer using a dangerous weapon.
Allen is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.

She’s been fired:
A nose ring.... ewwww. Go figure.
Has she had sex with the children yet? I’m sure that’s next.
And most are now women, now that schools have kicked men out, straight men, white ztrzight men, from both teaching and administration positions.
When I was in grade school all the teachers/principals were women. It was not until Junior and Senior high that we had any male teachers or principals.
In my elementary school one of the two 4th grade and 6th grade teachers were men (all straight), my orchestra music teacher and gym teachers were men. Great guys, nice but didn’t take crap from anyone. Middle school several teachers were men, high school lot more men teachers.
In general, with some exceptions, men prefer to teach young people when they are at ages that can handle more complex ideas and need more advanced thinking and skills. They are generally geared more to not be younger child raisers, but to train apprentices that older kids are in the age range of. Even the elementary school guys I had were in the higher grades.
Montessori teachers are the ones that can't get a job anywhere else. Would be fitting if she has to make a living as a paid Soros protester from now on.
