A 20 story tower in San Francisco valued at $320 million dollars went up for auction

There wasn’t a single bidder. Not even for $1

The property is now vacant, because no one wants to make the investment in Democrat run San Francisco

High crime rates and homelessness are cited reasons for office buildings like this to not see purchasers

Bidding for the property started at $80 million, but no offers. A massive decline in value

WeWork used to be a major tenant occupying nearly 200,000 sq ft in this same building

If I could wave a magic wand and grant you a GOP mayor and City Council in SF, would you buy that building for $1?

If the starting bid is $80 million, you aren't ALLOWED to bid $1.

If Trump Development LLC showed interest, it would have been blocked from the auction.

Sad ending to what was once a nice and fairly safe city. Use to go there a lot. But last time, about ten years ago, had to walk past used drug needles, poop, and mentally ill defacating on cars. Sick place. Plus homos everywhere masturbating in public - seriously. And cops not doing anything about it. That was over near the gheradelli chocolate place on the pier in case any of you leftest trolls are looking for some action later today, lol.

The building is valued at $320 million dollars. So maybe the city of San Francisco should buy it for $700 million dollars, then fill it with illegals and other assorted criminals.

After all, isn’t that the Democrat way?

Perhaps Taiwan might be allowed to buy California.

The US might retain the right to collect income tax from high-income persons and corporations.

From the article: ...valued at $320 million...

Value it at $999 billion.

The building was "valued" at $320 million was for borrowing against it as part of money laundering through real estate.

As cities like Detroit slid further into decline, homeowners started selling their homes via legal lotteries because they weren't worth more than a $25 or $100 long shot to the next resident.

Expect to see the same with office buildings that were previously being used as part of money laundering in real estate.

I had the same experience. Went there every year for a conference from about 1980 to 1998 and loved the city. Went back in 2017 and saw everything you said one block from the Wharf, plus drunks sleeping in doorways. I will never go back.

Why would they?
They are not stupid.
And they don’t like crime ridden cities where black thugs regularly assault/murder Asians.

This is really nothing new. A town a grew up in flyover country has a vacant 20 story building. It will be a tear down in a couple of years ...

I’m sure the tax liens and liability costs that go with it exceed $200M. You can’t escape all that.

Its just a massive liability, with an address.

repairs, maintenance, security, insurance, taxes, woke-marxist government, homeless, drugs

Who would want to put money into something so immobile in such a hostile environment.
