UFC President Dana White said being at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner during the shooting was “-–-ing awesome,” in a characteristically unfiltered reaction rapidly circulating on social media.
White, 56, a longtime Trump ally, said he was seated “right in front of the president” when the gunfire broke out, and described the hectic scene to a reporter recording him on his phone. “It started getting noisy — tables getting flipped over, guys running in with guns and screaming ‘get down!'” he recalled.
“I didn’t get down, it was -–-ing awesome. I literally took every minute of it in. It was a pretty crazy, unique experience.”

Back in the 1990s I knew a guy who couldn’t wait for January 1, 2000. Because that’s when the Y2K bug was supposed to shut down computers and bring the civilized world to a halt.
He wasn’t an anarchist or anything like that. I guess he just needed a little more excitement in his life.
Boy was he disappointed.
He almost had his with… that was when the Millennium Plot bomber, who was caught by an alert border guard lady days before trying to enter the US with explosives, was planning to bomb the Los Angeles international airport.

He’s thought differently if he’s been shot. Funny, how a person’s perspective changes when he/she is faced with death.
Whites great experience coulda’ been his last. Had he sprung into action, he coulda’ been confused with an assailant and shot by SS. Just standing there, he coulda’ been shot by the assailant(s).....had the assailant gotten into the main ballroom. Get him a badge and some training! Certainly got the reactions.
I was in an active shooter situation many years ago. I worked at the local greyhound track. The crowd panic was real. A few folks got minor injuries and one guy had a heart attack. Turns out the shot fired was at the entrance going into the building and the shooter was never inside, but we didn’t know that until later. Boyfriend/girlfriend fight...sigh It’s something you remember quite vividly.
Dude hit the champagne early. Poor choice of words. Probably going to go home and play his kids Call of Duty. Bet he would have pissed his pants had be been wandering around looking for the mens room in the hallway when the shots were fired downstairs.

It’s all for them.
They know they aren’t in the crossfire. In fact, they would be very very happy if the assassination were successful.
I didn’t even know why they flinched.
