Back in the 1990s I knew a guy who couldn’t wait for January 1, 2000. Because that’s when the Y2K bug was supposed to shut down computers and bring the civilized world to a halt.
He wasn’t an anarchist or anything like that. I guess he just needed a little more excitement in his life.
Boy was he disappointed.
