Quite an evening in D.C. Secret Service and Law Enforcement did a fantastic job. They acted quickly and bravely. The shooter has been apprehended, and I have recommended that we “LET THE SHOW GO ON” but, will entirely be guided by Law Enforcement. They will make a decision shortly. Regardless of that decision, the evening will be much different than planned, and we’ll just, plain, have to do it again. President DONALD J. TRUMP
JUST IN: CNN’s Wolf Blitzer says he was standing just feet from the shooter before officers forced him to the ground during the Correspondents’ Dinner scare.
“It was a very, very serious weapon, he starts shooting.
“I happened to been a few feet away from him as he was shooting. And of course, the first thing that went through my mind, is he trying to shoot me?”
The propaganda media could not afford to have the country see how witty and charismatic President Trump can be. They really do seem to go to extremes to prevent that from happening.

I thought the same think about the dais' delayed reaction—it was a very noisy room surrounding them and the lobby was the most distant. They were not hearing the electronic feed that we were hearing. What might have alerted them was the china breaking. Maybe a waiter saw it go down and lost his $^%$.
They have said nothing to the people in the ballroom. But Wolf Blitzer was in the lobby during the shooting and must have told people in the room.
President Trump will not be returning to the event, per announcements. "The President will have a press conference at the White House in 30 minutes".

President Trump will deliver a statement in the White House Briefing Room.
It is important that He says a few words regards the attempt, regardless where he is sitting.
Another Secret Service security failure. No one with a gun should have been allowed near — much less in — that building while the President was there.

Yep. He shouldn’t go back near that stage tonight. Even if he wants to, a competent SS would tell him “No way”.
Also, maybe he should avoid journalists at all costs.
