Popular Chinese restaurant caught with ROADKILL in its freezer

A popular Chinese restaurant in Louisiana has been caught keeping roadkill in its freezer.

Police investigated China Queen in Pineville after a viral Facebook post accused the staff of 'skinning roadkill' behind the establishment, KALB reported.

'Chinese restaurant between [Super 1 Foods] and TJ Maxx in Pineville, skinning roadkill behind the restaurant yesterday,' the post said.

'They found the skin and head in dumpster outback. Y'all might wanna bring a DNA kit to these restaurants to check the status of meat you are eating from these places.'

The post prompted the Pineville Police Department to send officers to the restaurant on Tuesday.

'Upon arrival, officers observed evidence indicating the dead animal was a deer. It was alleged the deer had been collected after being found deceased on the side of the roadway,' Pineville Police said in a statement.

'During the investigation, the deer carcass was found stored in a freezer alongside other food items that were allegedly intended to be served to customers inside the establishment.'

Police then contacted the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and the Louisiana Department of Health, who have taken over the investigation.

They found the skin and head in dumpster outback.

That's a surprise. The skin could be used to make dumplings and the head can be good eating if prepared properly. Waste not, want not!

One of my local Chinese restaurants, about 20 years ago, was caught with canines, not sure if it was dog or coyote, hanging in their freezer.

A long time ago I had a burrito at a Mexican restaurant and bit down on something hard. Turned out it was a shot pellet.

This is delicious. What part of the snake would you say we are eating?

Well, snakes really don't have parts but if I have to call it anything, I'd say its his elbow.

In Alaska state troopers carry a list. When they come upon roadkill moose or deer, the people on the list are called and can claim the carcass. Given the price of beef, best not toask just what is in that burger or chili.

China Queen

See, there's the problem. Stick with "king" named oriental restaurants. Especially Vietnamese. Pho King is great ... it's not just good, it's Pho King good.

If you want your meat off the bumper, go to the professionals:

Of course there are some really good Chinese restaurants, but the average strip-mall / roadside-cheap Chinese restaurant is run by migrants / illegals from the most backward parts of China.

Many of them are not trained as chefs. They take the most immediate jobs available to them. They merely need a wok and a big gas burner, and they can make cheap copies of a couple dozen dishes they think gringos like.

So that 3rd world peasant “whatever it takes to survive and make money” mentality permeates their operation.

Many, many moons ago, I worked in a Safeway Supermarket. One morning, very early, I noticed an Asian lady filling her grocery cart with all of the large cans of dog food. Something just seemed off, so I offered my assistance. There was a significant language barrier, but I persisted in attempting to help.

What do we see on the label of a can of peas? Peas, of course.

What do we see on the label of a can of corn? Corn, of course.

What was on the labels of these cans of dog food? The head of a dog. The lady believed she was purchasing dog. I read and tried to communicate some of the ingredients in the can. She became disgusted and put all of the cans back on the shelf. She seemed to blame me for all of the trouble. Oh, well.

Back in the 80s a place like this in my part of town was caught catching and slaughtering Muscovy ducks from a neighborhood lake behind the restaurant.

While in the military my dad did a tour of Korea, spent 5 years in Japan and did 2 tours of Vietnam.

I could never EVER get him to go to an Asian restaurant.

You know what?......I totally get it.

No wonder Americans are disgusted with some of the food & the prices of it. You have to wonder what you are getting every time you buy a food product. I just got over a very baddd illness from something I bought at Walmart.

Reminds of a friend of ours who was a physician. He went with his family to some Chinese restaurant in a small town in southern Illinois for Peking duck and waited. When it came, he examined the anatomy and noticed it had four legs.

He said it was still delicious.

That is an oversimplification. When it comes to moose there is a list of charities and individuals to be called when a moose is killed, usually by a collision with a vehicle. That means there is a Trooper or other LEO there pretty quickly. The meat gets salvaged within an hour or two and is perfectly edible. There are no deer in most parts of Alaska, certainly not where most of the population lives in Southcentral Alaska, but in the areas where they do live, I wouldn't be surprised if they are also salvaged the same way.

If you want your meat off the bumper,..

I really did LOL at that one.

My grand dad, who spoke English like Inspector Clouseau, hit a deer and killed it near his home. His beat up Renault was badly damaged but drivable. Someone called the State Police, because they were responsible for putting any animal hit out of its misery.

When the Trooper arrived, he had it already gutted and skinned and was butchering the carcass. The cop asked, "What are you doing?" and he replied, "But zhe meat, she is still good, no?"
