Emmy-award winning journalist allegedly hid cameras in TV station dressing rooms, police say

A wide-eyed Emmy award-winning journalist was arrested for allegedly secretly filming people getting undressed at a local Oklahoma television station.

Darrell Lee Vannostran, 40, was booked after he was arrested for the use of photo or video equipment in a clandestine manner in a private place. The photographer and editor was nominated and won multiple Heartland TV Emmy Awards last year.

According to court documents obtained by The Oklahoman, janitorial staff discovered two video cameras in the private dressing room areas within KWTV News 9’s building in downtown Oklahoma City.

Authorities said it was not immediately clear whether the cameras recorded guests or staff at the local station. During their review of the video, they found individuals in "various states of undress," according to The Oklahoman.

The cameras were attached by Velcro underneath clothing racks, investigators said.

Authorities, the outlet said, allege that Vannostran was inside the news station when not scheduled to work, entering the building and staying less than 45 minutes and allegedly making connections to the hidden cameras within the timeframes under investigation.

Such odd behavior for a professional adult, unless he was plotting blackmail or selling photos, which is more adult crime and intrigue.
Otherwise, it is like 11 year old boys trying to look up your skirt stuff.
Get a life, dude.
Now he goes to prison, maybe....gets sued, loses his job....over something he could use his imagination to see if tempted?
Maybe they had rules against dating coworkers and he was too interested in one or some of them?
Or his way of breaking the ice?
Make it make sense.
I never have seen the value of seeing somebody you know or work with naked, just to see them naked. When people were pushing photos of Dr. Laura or Paris Hilton naked, I did NOT want to see them. Seemed wrong.
I used to play golf with a guy who weirded me out by showing everybody photos of his wife’s breast job he paid for. She was a tall slim, nice looking model type whose chest size did not harm her appearance......I did not want to see her bosom on his smart phone, and I don’t even like fake breasts....I think they harmed her appearance. Some girls are thin or athletic built, just fine the way they are, not needing to look like pin up girls or centerfolds. Hefner liked tall skinny girls with no hips or bottom, but Barbie doll waist and bosom.......I think the guy was weird. He didn’t care if the hair or bosom was real or fake.

He looks like a virgin who ran into a woman who agreed to go to his room with him. And he doesn’t know what to do.
