Liv Perrotto, a teenager whose story was shared widely online, had been given the opportunity to speak with Musk shortly before her death. According to conservative commentator Glenn Beck, Perrotto was too weak to take the call at the time and asked if it could be rescheduled. She died before the conversation could take place. Before her death, Perrotto wrote down a list of eight questions for Musk on a notepad that remained by her bedside. Her mother, Rebecca, later shared the handwritten list with Beck in the hope that Musk might still see and respond to it.

I hope they make her toy the mascot for the mission. What a dear, sweet beautiful girl.
Was this one of his children?
by the way, she passed away due to an aggressive cancer. The type hasn’t been put online, only that it was an aggressive form of cancer
hey that’s great! someone commented to this thread that the toy was actually used in space so that’s wonderful.
Turbo charged perhaps.
Thanks for the link to that additional info!

At 15 years old, Liv Perrotto’s biggest dream was to meet
@elonmusk
. She had even written out a list of questions to ask him. Her mother
@rebeccaperrotto
told me that just days before she passed away from cancer, she had a chance to speak with Elon, but she was too tired and asked him to call later. The questions still sit on her nightstand, unanswered. Liv's mother shared them with me in hopes that Elon would change that today.1) Are you going to make your own phone? No
2) Are you expanding the Tesla Diner to new areas? Yes
3) Will there be any new games with any upcoming Tesla updates? Yes
4) What is your favorite anime? Your Name
5) Have you ever been to Japan? What was your favorite place/thing there? Yes, a several times. Kyoto. teamLab.
6) Do you know who Hatsune Miku is? Yes
7) Was Ani inspired from Misa from Death Note? Yes
8) Can you make Asteroid (the Shiba Inu zero-g indicator she designed for the Polaris Dawn mission) the mascot for SpaceX? OkMusk's answers taken from his x.com post:

It’s not too late to request your heartless comment be deleted. It really makes you look mean.
Nope, just a girl with a wish that made it to his ear.
why is it heartless?
The Polaris Dawn mission carried a plush Shiba Inu named “Asteroid”
as its official zero-gravity indicator, as detailed by Space.com.
Designed by Liv Perroto, a young patient supported by St.
Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the mascot was inspired
by Elon Musk’s pet dog and is meant to serve as a SpaceX
mascot, notes this Reddit post.
I think it is presumptive to assume the question was not genuine. It may not have been but there is no way for anyone to know that.
Smartass thing to say when a young girl has died. Crass.
I have no heart and I laughed when I read it.
Because you knew she is not one of his children, or could easily have looked it up online, and instead you chose to make a crude joke in the face of her family's crushing loss of a child. Not only heartless, but mean.
The younger generations seem to have dispensed with the notion of polite behavior in the face of a loss by death.It's not rocket science to avoid a stupid question on a thread immediately announcing a death of a child. If you're not sure about saying a thing, keep your mouth shut out of respect.
“The younger generations seem to have dispensed with the notion of polite behavior”.
You nailed that one perfectly. I was coming out of the store and a middle school girl inadvertently almost spit on me. her friend said “omg you almost spit on him” the girl said “so what the F is he going to do about it “ I gave her a stone cold look and just before I said anything it came to me the world has a way of sorting out her type. I walked away actually feeling sorry for her.
So this is a really sad story, to hear a young decent child passed away who might have made a great contribution to others in her life. I can’t imagine losing a child.
