My solutions to trauma worked well, though sometimes hangovers were an unpleasant side effect. Seriously though - the more turbulence you endure and overcome growing up the better equipped you are when bad things happen.

I should open a Learing Center for kids who’s parents did them no favors spoiling them. My lucrative side-gig of shopping out young people to do horrible jobs is totally coincidental.

That’s what me and my siblings say. We had lots of challenges to overcome (poverty, alcoholism in the family, etc) but we all turned out fine. Our kid’s generation were all spoiled rotten lol and a lot of them have AnXiEtY and can’t deal with life.

Adversity makes you stronger.

Concur, depending upon the individual. One of my relatives feels that childhood adversity “softened her up” for every subsequent emotional blow. I felt that those experiences engendered resilience.
