President Donald Trump announced a U.S. blockade on the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday.
Trump made the announcement in a post on his Truth Social account, blaming the failure to reach a deal with Iran during talks in Pakistan this weekend.
"So, there you have it, the meeting went well, most points were agreed to, but the only point that really mattered, NUCLEAR, was not. Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz," Trump wrote.
"At some point, we will reach an 'ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO IN, ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO OUT' basis, but Iran has not allowed that to happen by merely saying, 'There may be a mine out there somewhere,' that nobody knows about but them. THIS IS WORLD EXTORTION, and Leaders of Countries, especially the United States of America, will never be extorted," Trump continued.
"I have also instructed our Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in International Waters that has paid a toll to Iran. No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas. We will also begin destroying the mines the Iranians laid in the Straits. "The Blockade will begin shortly. Other Countries will be involved with this Blockade. Iran will not be allowed to profit off this Illegal Act of EXTORTION. They want money and, more importantly, they want Nuclear. Additionally and, at an appropriate moment, we are fully 'LOCKED AND LOADED,' and our Military will finish up the little that is left of Iran!" he added.

It cost the equivalent to 67 cents per gallon to “fill” my Tesla 3, and the Model Y ranges from 250-300 watt hours per mile. Texas ERCOT power is 9 cents per kWh.
That means it’s also equivalent to 67 cents per gallon in a 28mpg vehicle or 80 cents per gallon at 320 wh/mile again against a 28 mpg ICE vehicle which the Model Y is not competing against it competes with the Ford Expedition that struggles to get 18mpg to hit 2.88 cents per mile in energy cost gasoline would need to be 52 cents per gallon in 2026 dollars at that.

It’s just gravy that my solar panels charge both essentially for free since they paid for themselves in power sales years ago it’s the lost power sales cost not retail energy cost to fill up the Teslas. When curtailment is called for it literally is free to charge or if the wholesale rate goes negative we get paid to take energy off the grid and I am getting paid to charge that is the Bee’s knees getting paid to fill my Teslas is winning so hard.

Ninety percent of pickup trucks I see on the road are driven by punk kids overcompensating, hauling nothing but air with the truck bed clean enough to dine off of.
I have one myself but it is driven only when I have the need to transport anything that won’t fit in an SUV or is dirty or whatever. Like large dogs or bicycles etc.
Or yard waste tree limbs etc to the dump. Or making a large purchase. Then I have to watch as all the air-haulers impatiently floor their vehicles to pull out pass me and cut me off after they tailgated me for two miles while I’m doing the speed limit with a full load in the right lane.
I think it embarrasses them when they see a pickup that’s actually being used for its intended purpose.
Air-hauling is a very expensive hobby.

The real war is between the U.S. China (PRC) and it is a petro war that involves the PRC's attempt to replace the U.S. dollar w/the Yuan in order to achieve China's goal of world hegemony.

You’re wrong. He is diversifying the global oil market away from Iran. In five years, new pipelines through Saudi Arabia—combined with increased supplies from the U.S. and Venezuela—will completely bypass the Strait of Hormuz. That chokepoint will become irrelevant to the world’s oil supply, and Iran’s economic lifeblood will be cut off.
