Vance, US negotiators depart meeting with Iran, Pakistan delegation after peace talks fail

President Donald Trump announced a U.S. blockade on the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday.

Trump made the announcement in a post on his Truth Social account, blaming the failure to reach a deal with Iran during talks in Pakistan this weekend.

"So, there you have it, the meeting went well, most points were agreed to, but the only point that really mattered, NUCLEAR, was not. Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz," Trump wrote.

"At some point, we will reach an 'ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO IN, ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO OUT' basis, but Iran has not allowed that to happen by merely saying, 'There may be a mine out there somewhere,' that nobody knows about but them. THIS IS WORLD EXTORTION, and Leaders of Countries, especially the United States of America, will never be extorted," Trump continued.

"I have also instructed our Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in International Waters that has paid a toll to Iran. No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas. We will also begin destroying the mines the Iranians laid in the Straits. "The Blockade will begin shortly. Other Countries will be involved with this Blockade. Iran will not be allowed to profit off this Illegal Act of EXTORTION. They want money and, more importantly, they want Nuclear. Additionally and, at an appropriate moment, we are fully 'LOCKED AND LOADED,' and our Military will finish up the little that is left of Iran!" he added.

Will China allow a blockade?

Give JD a chance to sit down with Trump and explain these things to him. (Trump will relent on the Chinese the way he did with the Russians.)

The fact is this…. The left stands for nothing. They have no platform. They are the party of death, crime and open borders. They have run anti Trump for 10 years now. It never works. The economy is not in the toilet, in fact its thriving and this war wont put is there. This chicken little shit must end. GOP will beat themselves if they lose- Trump has nothing to do with it - perhaps to simply spite the President his party will not pass a comprehensive voting integrity law. Maybe Lindsey will proclaim he wants a national abortion ban a couple weeks out again. Who knows? Blaming Trump is retarded- point blank, unless youre just being disingenuous….. MAGA supports him… just like we always have. Dont listen to CNN … they often bend the truth.

Just destroy all Iranian ports. Fishing boats can use a small dock. Anything larger, and military, will need more.

Was that what you meant to write?

We are saying the same thing. Maybe it would have been clearer if I used the word “blockade” instead of “blocked.”

Got it!

(I, personally, find the term being used by the Trump Administration, itself, somewhat confusing; after all, it isn't Trump's intention to paralyze the region by bottling up the Persian Gulf.)

Regards,

The answer is to let Trump do his job since he has proven himself. Stop being a panican.

PDJT talked about blocking the strait. That means no ships entering or leaving the strait, not just ships bound for Iran.
There’s a difference between blocking ships in iranian waters and in international waters. We’re at war with Iran, so first one is justified.

What do you mean with China being forced to step up as part of the problem?
There’ll be a military conflict with China in the future and I’m all for it - but shouldn’t we first finish our objectives in Iran?
