This YouTube Short from the Valuetainment channel (uploaded November 2024, over 6.6 million views) is titled "Here's a Clip of Melania Trump at Age 26".
It features an old interview clip of a young Melania Knauss (before she married Donald Trump) responding to questions about their significant age gap and criticism that she was only with him for his money/wealth. Key parts of her response:

I know a man whose wife is 13 years older than he is. It does go the other way as well. He’s in his early 60s, and she is 70-something. They’ve been married a long time and have adult children.
It can go the other way....and I'm not going to condemn them. Their choice is their choice. But reality is most men highly value youth in a mate so it doesn't go the other way anywhere near as often....unless you're Emmanuel Macron.
It is fundamentally correct. She would have divorced him by now and walked off with cash and prizes, if she didn’t love him.
Throughout history, it has been common for wealthy men to marry younger women.
Much of it was because of the high rate of death. Many women died in childbirth. Then the men would re-marry. A man with assets had many to chose from.

I hooked up with my wife when she was a smokin’ hot 19-year old! So I totally understand this whole thing.
I didn’t even have a real job, either. (But, I was only 20. We’re still together 55 years later. )

More often younger women, older men.
But younger men with older women happened too.

Given her background and New York milieu, Melania likely valued a bundle of meanings the older, affluent Trump embodied: reliable stability, public stature that confirmed her own ascent, and a traditional family script with immediate feasibility. Combined with personal attraction to his charisma and the experience of being steadily pursued and respected, these valuations made the marriage subjectively rational and emotionally satisfying to her.
I’m not so sure “Chelsea” is even a biological woman.

Of course, IIRC, I’ve read that Mrs. Trump is a multi-millionaire in her own right. Something a large percentage of those woemn who would be very willing to marry a rich man no matter his age, couldn’t bring to the table.
That's likely her choice, not the magazine owners.
She had two kids with somebody, maybe even him. I would DNA test the descendants of those two.
Some women really like older men. I always have. They have better table manners and they’re not always trying to grab the tatas. These days the young guys want a lot more than that and no commitment.
At age 53, Trump could easily have remained single and continued to date attractive younger women, but he chose to commit to Melania.
