I hate swallowell. But he is still due, due process. The woman needed to have filed charges rather than an anonymous accusations.

I agree that there needs to be a legal process of some sort not just talking to the media about sexual wrongdoing.

The Jeffrey Epstein victims got lawyers and sued in the end.

They are the ones who legitimized this activity. That is backfiring and ensnaring their own doesn’t bother me.

I can’t disagree with you on all people getting due process.

At this point “alleged” is correct.

He made tight faced, spiteful threats to all of us when he said as soon as the Dems take over he and prosecutors will target and destroy Trump and his supporters to get back at them.

Good opportunity for me to remind everyone:
Representative Eric Swalwell has made statements vowing “accountability” and investigations into MAGA figures and conservative officials if Democrats regain control of Congress, frequently using terms such as “subpoena power” to target them.

Threats of Investigations: Swalwell has stated that when Democrats control Congress, it will be “game over for MAGA fascism” and has warned officials like Kristi Noem and Tom Homan that they would be “parked” in a witness chair for a long time.
Targeting Official Acts: He has warned officials, including those in the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), to “get a lawyer and save your records,” stating that “accountability is coming” and they would be investigated.
“Bury” Republicans: In a 2025 speech, Swalwell stated that “we have paid the price for our weakness in the past” and vowed to “bury” Republicans in response to their efforts.

Google search result today.

To be proven a creep, one does not need to commit a crime.

Most women are smart enough to distance themselves before a crime is committed. This doesn’t excuse his behavior. At all. But you know they talk amongst themselves. I want to know who has been telling them to keep it quiet for so long.

My only guess is that they knew he was coming in third. Instead of being beaten by two republicans, he will “defeat himself.” All of the money will go to the next in line and hopefully they will be able to pull off a second place finish in the primary.

Politics is a nasty business.

No due process on the left. Swalwell is guilty of the ultimate crime - endangering the party. If Swalwell were to be on of the two candidates to advance from the California jungle primary election, and the other candidate is a Republican, California might, probably not, but might, elect a Republican, were these allegations to come out before the General Election.

He should have stuck to elections the Republicans have zero chance of winning. None of the allegations would ever have seen the light of day.

True but this is how democrats roll. They usually reserve these tactics for Republicans but in this case they are desperately trying to remove excess candidates otherwise we may end up with 2 Republicans running for Governor.

Probably that Porter lady or Tom Styer is behind this.

True - but he and his Party ‘legitimized trial by public opinion.
And when his staff starts bailing, he apologizes to his wife of “bad judgement”, and Pelosi slams him, you can be pretty darn sure it ain’t all rumors...
