If my googling/AI is accurate, the current coalition is “center-right” and there are no large right-wing parties, only parties to the left of the current government. They voted for this... assuming elections aren’t rigged.

Dissident or independent candidates could not run in the Presidential election even if they were leading in the polls because the only candidates permitted on the ballot were “official” candidates from the Swamp Parties.

This started as fuel price protests from truckers and farmers, blockading the refinery and fuel depots.
But it has spread to blockading highways, blockading the Rosslare Port, the Galway Port which receives imported oil and refined is blocked, the only refinery at Whitegate has shut down.
That’s because Dublin-Regime doesn’t use the hyphen. It’s Dublin Regime. The regime in Dublin. Not a regime that resembles a Dublin.
