This Florida man is giving social media something to taco ’bout. TikTok creator Gray Davis has gone viral with a series of videos documenting the “raining iguanas” phenomenon in Florida — and then eating them.
When the Sunshine State experiences unusually cold weather, the cold-blooded reptiles can wind down their systems to conserve energy, and almost literally freeze up in the process. As they stiffen, the iguana popsciles will topple from their perch onto the ground.
While they may look dead, the iguanas are technically alive and will literally thaw back to normal once the weather warms.

As a side note, there are ambitious entrepreneurs who are using this iguana infestation as a means to host paid iguana safaris........
Would a possum eat an iguana ? It’s been my observation that possums will eat just about anything.

I would enjoy trying iguana tacos, especially free-range iguana tacos.
For what it’s worth I’ve seen stands selling iguana meat in Costa Rica. I confess I didn’t try it, but they seemed to be doing brisk business with the local and some tourists.
There’s a Cajun restaurant here in Cape Girardeau that features alligator meat. I don’t think it would taste all that different.
Ok...who is writing headlines today?
That’s the problem. The onion and garlic should have been sautéed first. I also would have brown the meat before simmering.
Oh, also, the commenters quoted in the article I would have taken out and slapped around a bit. Far too many babies like those in our society
How to eat hedgehog
The hedgehog when disturbed or cornered will roll into a defensive ball.
Locate a small stream and scoop up a couple of hand fills of mud or clay,
Roll hedgehog in clay
Bake over open fire until clay is hard
When cool peel off clay and attached spines
Remove innards
Rest is tasty meal
Tastes like chicken but somewhat gamey.
Yeah. That’s what I’m saying. How many trees did that cook fall out of?
Iguana tastes like the clichéd chicken. It’s more tender than alligator. I prefer the iguana. Central Americans prepare it the best.
“Dinsdale!”
