Retired four-star Gen. Jack Keane expressed doubt that the Iran ceasefire will hold, arguing Tehran is exploiting the pause to delay and ease pressure while testing whether the U.S. has "the stomach" to restart the fight.
"I am skeptical about where we’re heading with the Iranians because I flat don’t trust them, and I don't like taking the pressure off them by going to a ceasefire, which is what they want in any event to force the United States to stop the war," Keane said Tuesday on "Jesse Watters Primetime."
"We have done that, admittedly only temporarily, but we've got to see what's in that deal."
He warned that Tehran has a long track record of using negotiations to buy time, calling Iranian leaders "experts at obfuscating and delaying deals" who "lie and promise and don’t deliver."

I’m thinking that this could be part of the most brilliant geopolitical-military maneuver ever seen. I believe that Trump and the people surrounding him are smart enough to realize that no deal with any portion of the Islamist regime will be adhered to by them.
Remember when the bombing started and Trump announced to the resistance that, for the time being, they needed to stay safe and out of the streets? I envision a scenario whereby they were told to expect an eventual ceasefire that the US would ostensibly be pressured into adopting, and that when such a ceasefire took effect, that would be the signal for them to make their move. That scenario also explains Trump’s apocalyptic threat, with him having no intention of making good on it.

Habshan–Fujairah oil pipeline, also known as “Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline (ADCOP)”, is an oil pipeline in the United Arab Emirates. It starts from the Habshan onshore field in Abu Dhabi and runs to Fujairah on the Gulf of Oman.
The pipeline was ordered by the International Petroleum Investment Company as a strategic instrument in order to increase the security of supply, and reduce dependence on oil transportation through the Strait of Hormuz. The conceptual design of the pipeline was completed in 2006 by Tebodin. In 2007, construction related contracts were awarded. The EPC contract for the project was awarded to China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation and China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau, both subsidiaries of the China National Petroleum Corporation.
Construction of the pipeline started in March 2008. It was completed in March 2011. Its commissioning was postponed several times and it became operational in June 2012.
The 48-inch (1,200 mm) pipeline is 360 kilometres (220 mi) long, of which 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) is an offshore section. It passes east of Abu Dhabi city, through Sweihan and west of Al Ain. The pipeline has a capacity of 1.5 million barrels per day (~7.5×107 t/a). It cost $3.3 billion.
The pipeline is designated to supply the refinery in Fujairah and the Fujairah export terminal.
Oil tanks at the Fujairah terminal were constructed by Italy’s Belleli Energy. The mooring system was provided by Bluewater Energy Services. An integrated electrical system for the pipeline was designed and supplied by ABB.
Pipes were supplied by Sumitomo, Salzgitter AG and Jindal Saw.

Also, there was a huge bunker bomb dropped on tehran on the night of the pilot rescue. the targeting was set up on the fly because they had reports of big gathering in the underground bunker.
trump showed pictures of the blast as well as pictures of the rescured airman.
but we never heard what the results of that blast were. no bdr or casualties.
my wag is that that gathering was a war room to get the down US pilot. If so it would have concentrated the remainder of Iran operational military force command.

Imagine if they would have launched a preemptive strike against us during active negotiations. Or even worse.... imagine if we were in active negotiations with another country and they sent missiles to kill our negotiators.
