Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz

Other modes of transport needed to be set up yesterday to make their "control" of this passage an irrelevancy. We are way past the point where technology should be able to make this possible.

If this is not part of the United States' and other powers in the region's immediate plans to come up with multiple other transport methods, then that is pathetic.

During the 1963 Cuban Missile Crisis, at one point Kennedy received two letters from Khrushchev. The first letter proposed a deal in which the USSR would remove its missiles in Cuba and the USA would promise not to invade Cuba. Then the USSR sent a second letter with the additional demand that the USA would remove its missiles from Turkey. Kennedy ignored the 2nd letter and accepted the deal in the first.
