I’ve gone through them as fast as one year. Of course I have a LOT of devices and a wifi6 router. Netgear, TPLink, etc. I now have Asus. Was not thrilled with Ubiquiti.

Linksys hasn’t updated most of their routers.

I have an aged Linksys wifi router. It has never had a firmware upgrade offered since I bought it. The model is still sold on Amazon (Linksys EA6350 Dual-Band Wi-Fi)

Ha! It’s internet banning. That’s different from normal banning. It means “click on me” and nothing is banned at all.

Linksys was always low end. I was surprised when Cisco bought them. D-Link was even lower. I have only ever used NetGear.

I’ve had a Pace for over a decade. Keeps on workin’.

The ones telling you to replace regularly are the same folks who insist on updated M$ operating systems and Mozilla crappola on a regular basis — paid.

Yep!
Ubiquiti.
Almost as secure as Cisco and as easy to setup as Apple.
