@mtracey

Benny Johnson says Bondi's fatal flaw was not being in tune enough with the online GOP "base," which is "obsessed with the Epstein Files," and demanding to know that "we're not paying taxes to pedophiles." Something tells me the next AG won't be able to satisfy this angst, either

“. . . Online GOP base?”

I’d be more concerned with what the Boss thinks.

No, it was do to fact that she did very little of anything. She was ineffective and made some mistakes, or were they?

People look for actions rather than just words, Benny. I know that is very hard for the online yappers to understand.

"What's your view on Bondi's tenure?"

Any Trump AG will be judged by their success in doing the president's bidding in righting the wrongs waged against him. Given the entrenched DOJ rank and file attorney staff's loyalties do not lay with MAGA, any AG appointed by Trump is doomed to fail.

True, true. But folks often forget that, while the President may be president, We the People are the Board of Directors.

That said, Epstein alone isn’t the sole albatross around Bondi’s neck. I think if she had delivered on literally anything, people might not have necessarily looked past the Epstein stuff, but would’ve at least held a more favorable opinion despite it because we’d be winning at least some important battles.

Instead we got 14 months of empty promises and not one thing to show for it. That’s what’ll get you fired from a job quicker than anything.

Younger conservatives are totally against Trump these days first because of Epstein and now because he brought us into war. Boomers are the only group that still supports Trump.

I wanted to see some Democrats arrested. For something. Anything.

No arrests is only OK if the Democrat Party is pure as the driven snow. And I don’t think they are.

Bondi did a very good job but she was not aggressive enough driving internal reform of the DOJ, she was a horrible communicator and she simply was not the right person to carry the DOJ through the next several years of tough prosecutions and legal battles.

She completely botched the response to the emerging fraud and civil insurrection cases in Minnesota. The Somali fraud scheming was a divine gift at a critical time to the Trump Admonition and she just let it fall off the radar screen and down the memory hole

Simply inexcusable.

It was time for new blood in the AG position

Neither a great fan nor a great hater. D.C. is a hoarder’s nightmare of wrong. After one year: Bongino quit. Pam was removed. Patel is still at his desk. I wouldn’t know where or how to begin. Worker-bee me would just finish the tasks I know I can handle, learn the ropes, move on to the tougher ones I think I can handle, or get help for the ones I can’t.

Yes they deserve(d) it based on the number of J6 prisoners or convictions alone like 1,000 people’s lives caught up in that nonsense many ordinary people grandmothers even.

It’ll happen again.

Bondi’s flaw was that she brought home Abrega Garcia from El Salvador knowing that some commie judge would release him..she knew that, she is not an idiot, she was Attorney General in Florida, she saw that judges are doing the exact opposite of what Trump wants, yet she brought him back here and he was soon after released..so what did we gain by deporting him in the first place

Pam Bondi was sandbagged by an MSM question and didn’t catch it. She was asked if she was going to release the Epstein “List” and said she had it “on her desk.” She had all the files and information about the public and sealed Epstein testimony, and interviews, and wanted to appear pro-active so she conflated “all the evidence” with “a list.”

What the gossips and voyeurs wanted was the classic “smoking gun” from all the TV crime shows they studied to become legal experts, as if there was an actual list of names with the words “GUILTY” printed next to them.

What they got was a hodge-podge of uncorroborated and biased gossip, lies, and innuendo about the trail of debauchery Epstein promoted as part of his blackmail and power extortion racket to make himself rich. There never was a “list”, but lack of evidence can’t prove that no evidence exists in the minds of the voyeurs and gossips.

For the record, the law requires an accusation of a crime (indictment) from the state based on legal testimony and evidence obtained from circumstances and victims. Until this standard is met, usually by a victim coming forward and accusing a specific individual, and adjudicated in a court, the presumption of innocence is guaranteed by the law.

Pam Bondi knew they didn’t have any more evidence than Mayorkas did, but she got bullied into a trap and was snared by the MSM as a trophy.

I’m getting tired of reminding people...
Iran declared war on the United States in 1979...
They have been actively attacking and killing our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines since then, either directly or through proxies.

Stop repeating the media’s lies and state the truth

As of April 2, 2026, President Donald Trump fired Pam Bondi as U.S. Attorney General following a turbulent 14-month tenure marked by her failure to aggressively prosecute political opponents and her mismanagement of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Key Reasons for Firing:

Mismanagement of Epstein Files: Bondi faced heavy criticism for her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein sex-trafficking files, which became a political liability for the administration. She was criticized for creating high expectations for the release of documents—including claiming a “client list” was on her desk—which the Justice Department later said did not exist, leading to backlash from both sides of the aisle.

Failure to Prosecute Foes: Trump was reportedly frustrated with Bondi’s inability to “execute on his vision” to secure indictments against perceived political enemies, such as former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James. Many of these cases fell apart or were thrown out due to findings of illegal appointments.

Internal and External Pressure: Bondi was facing a subpoena to testify before the House Oversight Committee about the Epstein files. She had also faced intense criticism for her performances in congressional hearings and had been sidelined from speaking on the Epstein matter.

Turnover and Performance: White House officials and allies had encouraged Trump to replace her, despite her having been a loyalist. Trump’s support had steadily eroded over her failure to deliver results.

Bondi was replaced by her deputy, Todd Blanche, who previously served as Trump’s personal criminal defense attorney.

Prosecutions would be great, but probably unproductive. Proving criminal acts that long ago beyond a reasonable doubt with mostly hearsay evidence is difficult at best. And what with today’s technology, it is difficult to trust even photos and videos.

Very hard to prosecute people in the Swamp.

If you do, they will come after you and your family when their time arrives.

“Very hard to prosecute people in the Swamp.”

You are so right. Here in GA in 2013-2014 the CIO of GA DCH Medicaid went at great lengths to get Deloitte to design and develop a good welfare enrollment system. Deloitte did not fight on the basis of facts and logic. Deloitte fought & won based on “THE SWAMP”. The SWAMP was both in OBAMA’S HHS and GA Republican Governor Deal’s administration.

But taking and defeating Deloitte is easier than taking on Iran & the Straits of Hormuz.

What a waste of time she was. That 14 months was prime time for Trump the dems are coming in and plan to block everything. What she could’ve got done. What a waste and we needed those actions.
