Secretary of War Pete Hegseth fired two more Army Generals on Thursday after he ousted Army Chief of Staff General Randy George.
General George served in the role under Biden’s Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
“General Randy A. George will be retiring from his position as the 41st Chief of Staff of the Army effective immediately,” Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said.
“The Department of War is grateful for General George’s decades of service to our nation. We wish him well in his retirement,” Parnell said.
Two other Army generals were removed along with George, said two defense officials, who like some others spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the shake-up.
They are Gen. David Hodne, who became the head of the service’s Training and Transformation Command in October, and Maj. Gen. William Green Jr., the chief of Army chaplains.
With George’s ouster, Hegseth has remade nearly the entire Joint Chiefs of Staff, a panel of senior military officers at the Pentagon that advises both the president and the secretary. The only ones remaining from when Hegseth took office in January 2025 are Gen. Eric M. Smith, commandant of the Marine Corps, and Gen. B. Chance Saltzman, head of the Space Force.

DEI Dies hard.
Good for him.
Recall that Obama purged the general staff and promoted only those who professed loyalty to him when Hegseth is criticized for removing deadwood.
All three men had been serving in our military since before Hegseth was even a teenager.
What's your basis for thos assessment?
A remembrance, courtesy of the Daily Mail from five years ago....

Keep going.
This needs to happen at DNI and Justice.
Bondi and Gabbard have not been well served by their departments. They needed the DEI cleaned out and it didn’t happen. Hegseth is doing what they should have done.
Well, my assessment is that a lot of bastards still in the military at this time that were hired during the Joe Pedo regimes are starting to join another far left former military pig, Mark Kelly and his sidekick, Slotkin and are claiming that the Trump administration is forcing them to commit illegal war crimes. Kelly started this crap and he needs to be gone too. He’s a pig. The generals need to start weeding out the DEI crowd still bringing down military readiness.
More dredging of the swamp.

My neighbor is doing an awesome job!
Unlike with Biden and Austin, President Trump can take comfort in the fact that Hegseth is on the job every single day and healthy and fit enough to carry out his duties.
Yes, Austin disappearing , no one had any idea where he was.
Bizarre !
That would be an impressive feat, since all three men had been in the Army since the '90s.
(William Green Jr, for example, had been named deputy chief of chaplains and promoted to brigadier general...by Trump, in August 2019.)
And this -- well said -- is why the Democrats and Socialists and even never-Trumpers who appear on these threads are so upset.
A FR thread some days back was bemoaning that Hegseth prayed publicly. Yup.

Just drifting along
singing a song.....
then we heard a voice, do da do
saying, "Kill them all", do da do...
It’s not like senior generals are scarce or hard to come by.
There’s literally no indication that GEN George was a DEI hire. He is an infantry officer who fought in Desert Storm, Iraq in ‘03, Afghanistan in ‘09 and again in 2017. Dude has a Combat Infantry badge with a star, Master jump wings with a mustard stain, 4 Bronze Stars, and a Purple Heart.
A most interesting observation. Rather akin to President Trump's previous vice-president, who 'Penced' his way into being a critic.

What was is not what is, and what will be will be seen as time gors by. But most recently....
"Tur played the 'sobering take,' calling it 'actually stunning,' and she admitted it played into some anxieties that the Iran war is feeding.
