1) Apostle Paul said: For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.

-- Our weapons are spiritual, not physical.

2) Jesus said: I came not to bring peace, but a sword... to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother... a person's enemies will be those of his own household.

-- ^ By sword, he did not mean bombs and drones. He was referring to the division and persecution that comes from your own kin when they don't share your faith.

3) Jesus said: My kingdom is not of this world.

-- The Jews wanted a physical warrior king to defeat Caesar. But Jesus made clear that he is NOT a political king with a mere earthly agenda. He has a spiritual agenda fulfilled by the salvation of souls from every people, tongue, and nation.

Jesus said: Love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you, do good to those who hate you...

-- Now: does that mean all war is unjustified? No. But if Hegseth had said prayer said in the right spirit, it would have reflected far more humility.

Question: What qualifies you to judge the humility in someone else’s prayer?
