I actually joined in 2003 under other names, but kept getting banned. Jim let me back in if I promised to behave and I have really tried. I won't tell you my previous handles because I am embarrassed by my stupid behavior (and I have forgotten most of them).

That said, I knew Quix well and chatted with him often by email after he was banned. He came back under another name before he passed, but wouldn't get involved in the UFO issue. I spoke with Jim about Quix and Jim said he didn't mind if Quix came back as Quix if he would soften a bit. Quix couldn't do it.

He was a great guy, but he was aware that he could get a little strident about this issue.

He was a devout Christian, so I don't think we need to worry about his current home.;-)

I joined in the fall of 1998. Yes, I’m THAT old LOL. But then I got banned in 2003 for not being pro-Bush enough (a LOT of Freepers in good standing got zotted for not toeing the party line). But I kept an eye on this site, for its news and entertainment value. Came back in 2016 because there was too much fun to be had being on Trump’s wagon.
