Vice President JD Vance speculated that UFOs could actually be “demons” flying around Earth, contending that ancient civilizations believed they had encounters with such vile creatures.
“I don’t think they’re aliens. I think they’re demons anyway, but that’s a long discussion,” Vance told conservative podcaster Benny Johnson.
“I mean, every great world religion, including Christianity, the one I believe in, as understood, there are weird things out there,” he later added. “When I hear about [an] extra natural phenomenon, that’s where I go to: The Christian understanding that there’s a lot of good out there, but there’s also evil out there.
“I think that one of the devil’s great tricks is to convince people he never existed.”
Notably, right-wing pundit Tucker Carlson had conveyed similar beliefs about unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) being demons rather than aliens. Carlson also claimed to have been attacked in the middle of the night by a demon and left with claw marks while sleeping next to his wife and dog.
Vance, who converted to Catholicism in 2019, underscored his obsession with UAPs and vowed to “get to the bottom of it.”
“When I came in, I was obsessed with the UFO files, and you start getting really busy worrying about the economy and national security, and things like that. But I’ve still got three years left as vice president,” Vance.

That’s how some Christians interpret what ghosts to be as well: demons “dressed up” as dead people.

Maybe the demons are the aliens. As a Christian one would call them demons, a non religious person may classify them as aliens.

I have heard this reasoning, and it does have some serious theological underpinnings. Like, just something demons would do, confuse and change the narrative. Use science and intelligence for validation and verification. Coming next... “All roads lead to the same God.” They reside in a place that we cannot yet comprehend. Interdimensional vagabonds floating in and out of our reality and plane of existence. Why do these UFOS appear to vanish and perform physics-defying maneuvers?

As Michael Heiser would say, when some people perceive that aliens are demons, they are confusing fallen angels with demons. Demons, according to Heiser, are the berserk spirits of the Nephilim, not fallen angels (who are the parents of the Nephilim – See Genesis 6 and Heiser's Unseen Realm).
I tend to agree with him.

I liked Heiser’s book. Very well researched. I got more out of reading his book on angels, though. More fascinating. The bad guys have been pretty well-documented.
