Country star Annie Bosko is speaking out about the criticism that she has faced after releasing her new song "Goodbye California" earlier this year.
During an interview with Fox News Digital, the 40-year-old singer explained that the bittersweet country ballad has resonated with the majority of listeners but struck a nerve with others, who have tried to frame the song as political, which she insists was not her intention.
"I have gotten some backlash on the song, and I'm OK with it," Bosko shared ahead of her March 5 concert at the famed West Hollywood music venue the Troubadour.
"I think anytime you put yourself out there to make a statement and to say something, people will take any shot at turning something political," she continued.
"I don't believe in getting involved in politics — I care about the state that I grew up in," Bosko added. "I love California. So that's where I stand on things. And there comes a point where right is right and wrong is wrong, and it feels like there's too much wrong going on."
"So, you know what, if 1% of people are upset with me, then so be it, right?" Bosko added. "You can't please them all."

“So, you know what, if 1% of people are upset with me, then so be it, right?” Bosko added. “You can’t please them all.”
…that 1% is made up of TDS losers and there’s nothing anyone can ever do that will please them.
Quite.
True.
I like the tiny town we’re in
Love it when the preacher says amen.
As a former resident of that now Communist controlled state I'd would have been much more critical in any lyrics I wrote about leaving that state. I even went to Jr. High school just a few blocks down the street from where Ayn Rand wrote Atlas Shrugged. Her house is gone now with nothing to show it was there other than old photos taken from the air .
You sure you got the right song? I looked at the lyrics too and didn’t see that line.
It was definitely a song about moving out of California to Georgia. I only know what Google came up with for the lyrics search.
Miserables do not need a reason to be upset. Truth is garlic to the vampires.

You have the wrong artist. The O/P is about Annie Bosko’s Goodbye California.
Now you're just a wasteland of dust and broken dreams And all that's left are memories
The song I got the lyrics from was a different artist. The family I grew up in had enough income that we went to Disneyland fairly often. The patriotic America loving place that Walt built has been taken over by the Left. Disney use to be a name that was a guarantee of a good movie . Now it is a brand name that I avoid out of habit.
It figures that Google came up with the wrong result. I’ve often had to find ways of getting around their clever censorship of anything outside the Left’s narrative.
Six paragraph excerpt and I have no clue what the song is saying.
I would suggest that no one on FR should have Google as their default search engine.
Marriage material. Nearly unicorn.
Duck Duck Go
Los Angeles literally has a mayor trained in Communist Cuba. Not to be outdone New York City now has a Communist Mozlem mayor! Ayn Rand lived in both places. She saw the rot coming long before it became so noticeable.
That and Brave for me.
For political related searches I typically use Yandex so as to compare one liar against another. The Free Republic search is only partially useful because it depends on the users themselves to provide the keywords. It does not dive any deeper than that .
