Tiger Woods is missing from the USGA’s Friday release regarding the field for its 2026 U.S. Senior Open, but the 15-time major winner could still play in the championship.

Woods, who turned 50 in December, is eligible to compete on the PGA Tour Champions this year, including the five senior major championships. Despite the injury toll of the past decade, Woods has expressed interest in competing on the 50-and-older circuit, specifically since the tour allows for cart use in regular tour events. But three months into the season, Woods has yet to make his debut as he rehabs from a ruptured Achilles injury and back surgery, and only returned to this simulator-league TGL this past week. Given that he wasn’t listed on Friday’s announcement from the USGA, it’s understandable if fans deduced Woods remains far from return.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

The USGA statement only lists U. S. Senior Open champions.

Woods qualifies under exemption category 7 (first 10 years of eligibility, all U. S. Open champions; Jim Furyk, born in May 1970, qualifies under an exemption that any golfer under this qualification born from July 1969 to July 1970 will be eligible to age 60 when the expiration is age 59), category 10 (winners of all other majors, and the U. S. Amateur or The Amateur Championship, first year of eligibility), category 17 (top 40 money leaders combined of the Korn Ferry, FedEx Cup, and Charles Schwab Cup tours), and category 23 (Masters, PGA, and Open winners of the past 10 years)

Tiger probably has had so many STD’s his caddy will need to wear rubber gloves when handling his clubs and balls.

I was in way better shape than Woods when I was 50.
Now 20 years later, I am in the best shape of my life.
This feels less like age and more about chemical or bio damage of some kind.
It sure took out Bill Clinton as he looks like a walking dead man.

He is aging like a leather coat left outside in the Phoenix sun.

Re: college loans. NOTHING has improved so long as the government is still in any part of the business of college loans.

If you think about how violent Tiger’s swing was in his prime
you would not be surprised that he now has as many physical problems
as he does. Lots of people predicted that this would happen.
