Leftists commonly confuse level of formal education with intelligence, and also with actual knowledge. There are a lot of people without degrees who are more intelligent, better read, and with much greater breadth of knowledge than many people with degrees.

Of course, the kicker in this story is that Kimmel himself lacks a degree. So his arrogance isn't based on "I'm educated and you're not." Rather, it is based on the even more condescending thought that anyone with a blue collar job is simply less intelligent.
