Hopefully nothing of what just happened in Daytona bleeds all the way to the Panhandle. P’cola is not far from Tallahassee so... could be. Have no idea how to research that, which would be very disruptive to pre-teens, and need to take care.
Other FReepers might give a suggestion to find out whom is going to be there and when (groups).
Daytona: Think, Carnival Cruise Lines times 10 activity.
Panama City Beach closes sections of beach overnight during spring break>
Most important:
"The closures target areas where police said they have seen the most disorderly activity in previous years.
The following sections of beach will be closed from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. each night:
The sandy beach from Access 25 through Access 36
The area from the Calypso Condominiums to West Park Drive
The beach in front of Pineapple Willy’s
As a Panhandle resident I can tell you that PCB is not an especially family friendly spring break place. There are even special SB ordinances that aren’t even activated the rest of the year.
Any beachfront city of PCB is your better bet. Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola, Gulf Shores, etc.
You could spend an entire day at the Pensacola Naval Museum. It’s that good.
No idea but anybody have clues on getting a police ankle monitor off?
Go to Panama City Beach and look for middle aged men trying to relive their spring break “glory years”. Some of them will know about ankle monitors.
I really liked the Pensacola-Destin area over Panama City.
Seemed like much less icky people.
Be aware that here south of Tampa that the Gulf is too cold.
If you see a person in the water, the person is almost certainly German.
We have a rental condo in Gulf Shores. We prefer that to PCB. Pm if interested.
If you are not active duty or retired military, you can only get onto the base on Saturdays or Sundays right now. Be sure and check their website before going to the Naval Museum. It is definitely worth it if you can fit it into your schedule!
If it doesn’t need to be in Panama City Beach, you might try Okaloosa Island which is the barrier island off of Ft. Walton Beach. I can give you the name of a condo there which we love. Pool but no hot tub. No buildings over 7 stories there. Let me know if you’re interested.
Why would you go there for spring break?
Four in grinder with a cutoff wheel works great!
(according to an anonymous source)
Panama City beach is pretty rough now days. Strange how things have changed from earlier years.
I’m not even 2 hours away and won’t go near PC until April is over with. Look at Watercolor - but it will be expensive and might be totally booked.
