I don’t get the obsession with this sport. Our HOA president is all about the pickle ball (and probably likes the pickle, if you know what I mean...nudge nudge wink wink say no more, say no more...)
Raquet ball and tennis are much cooler.
What in the heck is it with this gay a$$ yuppy game.
Why did it become so popular. I’ve never really played it. I like racquet ball, but there is an advantage to being outside. (Unless you are in Manhattan, in winter. I guess I can’t judge it, never having played it, but I find it hard to believe I just wouldn’t prefer to play tennis, which is my favorite racquet sport.
“What’s it like?”

Preach it Sister!
Totally GHey!
Leftards glommed onto it about 15 years ago.
I think the official gay versions are called “Smokethepickleandballs” and “Bohicaball.”
I was talking to a friend of mine whose an orthopedic surgeon and he says he has never seen so many injuries as he has since pickleball started.
Yes the courts are smaller but the quick reflexes to play on small courts is brutal on the joints! But, it seems to be popular with the boomer aged folks 🤷🏼♀️. I’ve been asked to join many teams. I’ll stick to tennis and softball.
I've played all three for years, and it's pickleball, hands down. But keep on hating - it makes the courts less crowded. LoL
Per AI...
"Pickleball is a rapidly growing, low-impact sport ideal for older adults, often played by seniors to boost cardiovascular health, balance, and social connection. Key figures like 95-year-old competitive player Joyce Jones highlight its accessibility, with many participants in their 70s, 80s, and 90s, fostering a vibrant community for aging athletes."
My joints can relate.
Can't speak for tennis, but being a past tournament racquet ball player, the sport is dying out due to lack of interest by the younger crowd necessary to keep it alive.
All the guys I used to compete against have now turned to pickleball.
And that also includes seniors who haven't played any athletic sports in decades, if they ever did.
It's fun and easy to learn at the beginner level. Above that, it requires lots of play and a willingness to take lessons and learn strategy..........
