What If Iranians Don’t Want to Be ‘Free’?
townhall ^

If you’ve never experienced liberty before, you don’t know what it is. It’s not the natural state of humanity. Most of human history is riddled with oppression. A fish doesn’t know it’s wet.

This question was thoroughly discussed and answered more than 20 years ago.

It takes a special brand of hubris, naivete, and retardation to think the U.S. can establish and build a Jeffersonian style of republican government in a Third World sh!t-hole.

THE END.

**********************************************

Correct.

Check the history. “Nation building” to our specifications does not work in the middle east.

Just look at how unpopular the Shah was.

But was he, really? Or were the Mullahs and their enablers like the American enemedia, spewing the unpopularity lie as the press does against President Trump?

The Prince of Persia was certainly not a demon. He was a angelic being put in charge of Persia by God but turned rogue. And it took the help of Michael to handle him.

Fallen angels are not demons.

I'll never understand the incessant need for christians to add in supernatural nonsense to the otherwise perfect language and scripts of God.

The "sons of God" are ancient hebraic metaphors within biblical allegory for mighty nations, houses, rulers, tribes, etc. In Deuteronomy 32 and Daniel 10-12 they are spoken of in that way as well as a kind of a political structure. Ergo: Michael the Archangel = Israel, Prince of Persia = Persia, Prince of Greece = Greece, etc. Each "angel" or "son" equates to the national interests of that nation. National conflicts arose and they are not literal "demons".

Actual biblical study involving context and discernment isn't that hard once you accept that modern interpretations corrupt literally everything about what God was saying.

Bottom line, this is not about freeing Iranians. They are an afterthought. This is about the world’s number one sponsor of terror that has killed more American troops than in any undeclared war over the years insisting on advancing to the nuke stage. Any dictator that will not do that and is favorable to us will do. If they want democracy the populus can do it on their own dime.

Fallen angels are not demons.

Then why do they behave like Demons? Satan itself is a fallen angel, isn't it?

Did you not read what I said? Because its all biblical metaphors within biblical allegory. A "fallen angel" or "demon" in that specific sense is a rogue nation or a nation acting against the interests of God (or Israel/the Angel of God).
The nation, it's ruling elite, the citizens, etc. THEY are the "demon".
I'm not trying to be an ass, its just so tiring to have to keep offering actual exegetics of God's Word after its been dumbed down and corrupted so much.

Afghanistan was never an open society as Iran once was....Grandparents experienced freedoms that islam choked and killed to diminish. Big difference along with the fact that these Persians are a tad more educated than the subhumans within afghanistan.

Satan itself is a fallen angel, isn't it?

No. he's not. He's God's prosecutor and can only operate within God's purview. Yet again, the idea that satan is a "fallen angel" outside of God's control and rules over a mystical hell dimension is nonsense baked into christianity in the early middle ages.
God rules over all. He does not have rebels or rogues in Heaven. How in the universe would God be the ultimate being if he can't control his court? The logic of modern christianity is so insanely idiotic.
God controls evil, God controls Good, God controls everything EXCEPT we, who have the ability to make conscious choices.
Humans and our institutions are the "Demons" and "Fallen Angels:, etc.
And as an aside, nowhere in the Synoptic teachings of Jesus does Jesus align with the Enochian or later christian nonsense of a fallen angel thats Lucifer or a hell dimension. Nowhere does Jesus' actual words endorse or promote such nonsense.

That’s actually the only answer right now.

Khomeini’s gang of low rent troglodytes came in and took power by spinning up all the sub-room temperature IQ trash which every country has, but Iran had a few too many.

They still need an authoritarian monarch type who’s reasonably enlightened like the Shah was. Most of the older generation understands that now, and won’t be so upset about some of the more ruthless methods he and his secret police engaged in to keep the 7th century morons under control.

What if Iranians aren’t monolithic? What if some are frightened of the regime while others are frightened of the uncertainty of change?

We don’t care if they don’t want to be free. We just don’t want them to be a pain in the ass for us.

So we should demolish their ability to inflict harm on us and their neighbors and leave them to figure things out on their own, leaving them with the message that if they don’t behave we’ll keep hitting them upside their head, until the message sinks in.

“Freedom” is a very subjective term. Soviets sincerely believed they were free from gun crime on the streets and they had cradle-to-grave health care and welfare.

The word “islam” means “submission” in Arabic, which is a hint that freedom by any western definition is not high on their list of wants.

What they want most out of a government is that it will allow them to persecute their enemies, ... or do it for them.

Bush 2 might have believed that. But I don't think the Neocon war propagandists believed it. That was just agitprop for the American masses. They had to say stuff to justify the Iraq War.

Freedom is a foreign concept to Moslems.
It is against their religion.
I’m a Christian, my God demands obedience
but it my choice.
Moslem’s God also demands obedience,
but they don’t allow choice.
