This Save Act BS is a perfect example of why some of us hate RINOs, uniparty, GOPe etc. more than we ever will dems. Dems are like bears crapping in the woods, that’s what they do and can be beaten easily. These surrender monkey turncoat sellout types are the reason this country is such a mess.
Yes. Recently, three new items were attached to the formerly clean bill. That was wrong; it muddied the water.
Some talking head yesterday floated the idea that the GOP knew SAA would fail in its clean version, so just threw these three in to set the stage to rationalize the final fail.
You either have the votes or you do not. It is in an overall sense not clear to me what the strategy is other than delude oneself into thinking that media coverage is going to persuade enough Democrats to vote to bring the bill to the floor.
There is no way in hell that the media is going to embarrass any Democrats to do anything. And thus if you do not have the votes you do not have the votes.
Alas, the votes are definitely not there. This will hopefully keep Paxton in the Senate race. If it passes, Paxton will bow out.

I used to be Elections Coordinator in the Clerk’s Office of a large city.
When an election went flawlessly — which it always did — the Clerk took credit. But if something had gone wrong, I had no doubt that my name would’ve been in the paper.
