“I think womens bball has done enough to make no one care.”
The women’s game has not stayed up with the way basketball has evolved. The men’s game has morphed into a game of three points and violence. The don’t have the ball control skills of their predecessor and they have combined with the media to create the illusion of gladiators. Women will never live up to that until they start knocking their opponents into the 4th row. They already use the off hand to clear a path, push off, travel, throw bodies around during rebounding, and screaming like animals when they actually do something close to the game. On the same hand they stop the game when one loses a hairpiece:
During a July 2025 WNBA game, Phoenix Mercury player Kahleah Copper had her wig/weave fall off while navigating a screen against the Washington Mystics, forcing a temporary stop in play. Following the incident, a fan was ejected from the arena for mocking the situation, sparking debate regarding fan behavior and game etiquette.
Huh? These are professionals. If they wish to compete with the men for audience, then put on your big girl panties and kick the hair piece into the bleachers and continue. That’s what the game has changed into. Makeup and elbows are not woman like. Pick one or the other.
