HOLLYWOOD, CA — The horror movie Sinners has officially won the Oscar for "Crappiest Movie To Win An Oscar".
The award each year goes to the most awful, banal cinematic catastrophe that somehow squeaks out an Oscar for being extra gay or not having any white people in it.
"And the award goes to...Sinners!" announced host Conan O'Brien. "You actually won an Oscar for that appalling pile of trash, congratulations. Really, it's an amazing accomplishment to somehow score an Oscar for that monstrous affront to writing and acting, well done. Tip of the cap."
At publishing time, Sinners had also taken home the award for "Best Movie No One At The Academy Actually Watched Because Life Is Too Short."
I saw it and it was an okay movie but I certainly didn’t consider it worthy of an Oscar.
Just a bunch of vampires taking over a town.

Sinners is total garbage. I got a chance to watch it for free and turned it off after the first few minutes - and I love horror movies.
Black folks hustling money from other black folks. Throw in the inter-racial sex element for good measure.
Especially considering that the idea wasn't exactly new - before Sinners, there was Blackula (which at least didn't take itself seriously as a movie).

So, in that case I have to ask.....we’re what few White people that appeared in the movie all portrayed as rabid racists?......because I suspect they were.
After all, what self respecting black producer and director could resist THAT opportunity.
And to think “Saving Private Ryan” lost out for best film to Shakespeare.

I was never a great fan of the Oscars in that it's always been something like the entertainment industry's version of a high school popularity contest (I fully understand why George C. Scott declined his award), though they're obviously much worse now thanks to leftist ideology and the "Oscars Too White" crap.
Nobel Prizes in the hard sciences (physics, chemistry, etc) are still legitimate, and that they are awarded for achievements that can be objectively evaluated.
The Nobel Peace prize was always politicized and largely useless, while the Nobel Prize in literature is too subjective to be taken seriously, e.g. why didn't Cormack McCarthy ever win a Nobel Prize in Literature, while Bob Dylan did win for writing gibberish lyrics?
This year in film ... absolutely terrible.

They used to pounce if you posted no knowledge of some movie, TV show, actor.
It offended their idols I guess.
I haven’t seen it but the clips make it look like good material for a stage production focused on the musical numbers.
