We have a blizzard warning in southern Wisconsin.
Very fast moving line of storms just tore thru Memphis about 45 minutes ago. Temps are going from 74 to 34 in the next 4 hours. Big tops to 50,000 feet. Huge hail for about a minute. Things calming down now.
Zoom .Earth is where I go
Schools. Closed area wide in queensland (virginia that is) tomorrow.
Reminds me of the 3 little pigs fable. School (fool) boards have abandoned their old brick and mortar buildings that stood the tests of time for newer basically tin (straw) homes educationing fear in our children and now that the big bad wolf approaches the flee fleas begin the crawling.
The storm actually passed over in about 10 mins.
It’s going to be 18° by tomorrow morning here in northeast Oklahoma. Then by Wednesday, it’s going to get up to 86°! Wind straight out of the north for the next 24 hours, gusts up to 44mph.
Been watching Ryan Hall live on You Tube most of the day, and he’ll be broadcasting long into the night. Crazy mix of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes in some areas, heavy snow in others. Kind of a microcosm of Spring in one day and night.
Flooding on Maui……so another pineapple express headed for the west coast soon.
Flooding and more landslides……..spring has sprung
It’s gonna get down to the 40’s in Houston. That’s January weather!
NOA Weather radio claimed the line of cells was moving southwest to northest at 105 MPH. It’s 10:00 and the ILS Approach to Memphis still has no traffic. I live right at the outer marker.

We lost another medium size fir tree and a big pile of large branches came off a huge pine tree out front. Once you lose a tree in a stand, the other trees aren't sheltered any more and they tend to fail in successive wind storms.
Good luck to everybody in the path of this storm!
Flightaware.com has Memphis arrival delays at 1 and a half hours.
Foothills below Lake Tahoe above Sacramento … clear and in the 70s and 80’s this week. Same oh boring low humidity and the visual great weather.
Learned long ago…. Don’t do anything productive in California and they pretty much leave you alone.
Wishing the rest of you the best.
