An update on fraud in Minnesota - The story just keeps getting uglier and uglier.

The new interim staff report on Minnesota’s fraud describes criminal activity that was enabled by a horrifying pattern of spineless government incompetence and systemic failure. Some say Minnesota is just the tip of the iceberg. Best guess? Government, both state and federal, is rife with it.

According to the March 4, 2026 House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform report, “The Cost of Doing Nothing: How Tim Walz and Keith Ellison Fueled Minnesota’s Fraud Explosion,” there was a massive failure in “governance and oversight” that allowed “known fraud and criminal schemes to flourish,” even as resources were diverted away from “the vulnerable populations these programs were intended to serve.”

Since 2018, it is estimated that “half or more of the $18 billion in total expenditures was fraud.” After the Trump administration threatened to withhold federal funding for Department of Human Services (DHS) programs “because of widespread fraud,” Minnesota “froze all provider enrollment for the high-risk programs in January 2026.”

The Investigation

The committee built the record with transcribed interviews with “nine current and former state officials spanning the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and the Department of Human Services (DHS), including former and temporary DHS commissioners and Walz’s former chief of staff.” Document production was limited: Walz’s office “produced 48 documents and email communications (totaling 177 pages), and Ellison’s office produced 11 documents (including one duplicate) totaling 97 pages.”

The report references 98 charged individuals tied to widespread fraud in Minnesota. It says 85 are Somali, and “more than 60 have been found guilty in court.” These criminal actors hijacked 14 Medicaid programs designated “‘high risk’ for fraud by DHS.”

The committee focused on four high-risk programs with the most indictments and confirmed fraud: Housing Stabilization Services (HSS), Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI), Integrated Community Supports (ICS),

I wonder why it would be a bad thing if the illegal immigrants could vote?

in minnesota, they are.

The question is, how many?

tampon tim got a law through to give them a drivers license, a license that does not say they can’t vote, or that they are illegal. it’s the same license they issue to a citizen.
couple that with motor voter and any illegal can cast a ballot. that is why MN is refusing to hand over the voter rolls.

The story just keeps getting uglier and uglier.

We're in a phase. It's called "The Reveal".

It's NOT that it's getting uglier (and uglier). It's that The Reveal is a planned revealing, peeling off the layers one by one, drawing the unawake into the Rabbit Hole, to join those of us already, to varying degrees, awake/red-pilled.

To someone smelling the roses, so-to-speak, it seems to be getting "worse", when it was this bad all along (and worse).

I liked that DJT thru into the SOTU, after talking about SomaLies, Minneapolis, Minnesota... that it was worse in Massachusetts. I hope we here in MA are next up (we're on deck) for The Reveal.

The Somali fraud scandal in Minnesota, conducted by the thieving Somali-American community, has been described by federal prosecutors as an “industrial-scale” operation that has expanded significantly in scope, with estimates of potential Somali theft reaching as high as $9 billion in stolen tax dollars.

As of late 2025 and early 2026, the situation has evolved from the initial $250 million Somali “Feeding Our Future” pandemic food program scandal into a much broader investigation covering multiple state social-service programs ripe with tax dollars.

While early reports focused on Somalis’ $250 million food scam, recent estimates from prosecutors suggest that 14 high-risk, state-run Medicaid programs, which received $18 billion tax dollars since 2018, may have had “half or more” of their tax funding stolen by thieving Somalis.......one of the largest pandemic-related tax fraud schemes in the United States.

Breadth of Somali Fraud scandals involve multiple frauds beyond just food programs. These include:

Somali EIDBI Autism Fraud: Over $6 million in fraudulent claims for non-existent autism services, with claims that Somali providers paid Somali parents to enroll children.

Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) Somali Fraud: Individual Somalis allegedly set up sham companies to bill for services not provided, as the thieving Somalis spent stolen tax dollars on luxury travel and personal items for themselves.

“Fraud Tourism”: Somali Perps from other states, such as Pa, allegedly traveled to Minnesota to exploit the state’s lax oversight in tax-financed social service programs.

More than 90 people have been indicted, mostly Somalis, with at least 57-60 convictions as of late 2025/early 2026.

Intense political scrutiny of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison commenced, with accusations that they allowed the Somali fraud to continue to get Somali votes and Somali campaign donations.

Impact on Community: While the majority of those charged are of Somali descent, community leaders and activists emphasize that this is a case of organized criminal activity by specific actors, not a reflection of the entire community, and fear it is being used to fuel anti-immigrant sentiment.

International Connections: Some proceeds from the fraudulent Somali schemes have been traced to Somali accounts in Kenya and other foreign countries. (Minnesota Reformer)

The situation is considered extremely severe, prompting a major crackdown by federal authorities and intense, ongoing Congressional oversight hearings in 2026. (CBS News)

Aside from the fraud, why in the world are we giving government funded daycare to immigrants who are 70+ % on welfare.

What the heck do non working people on welfare need to have daycare for in the first place?

Daycare was sold to us Americans to help working poor people get and keep a job to get them off welfare, not to provide welfare queens with daycare so they spend more time getting their toe nails done.

Personally, I don’t think we do. The best we can do is get the country back. In the meantime and afterwards, we round up the criminals and throw them in prison or back to “Elbonia.”

Obvious obstruction of justice. Putz and Ellison either destroyed evidence or are covering it up.

The actual fraudsters and State politicians/bureaucrats should be punished severely. Notice though that news coverage always focuses on them, ignoring the federal programs and laws that make fraud so easy. Congress passed the bills that created and funded these situations.

Who thought it would be a good idea to let the States hand out funds and be reimbursed by the federal government with almost no oversight, review, or audits of what the $$ were going for? No one realized the States would have an incentive to dish out as much as possible, since it cost them nothing? Why was it possible for this crap to go on so long without being noticed? It wasn’t an accident — it happened by design.

Individuals sponsored the bills, pushed the legislation, voted for it, etc. Let’s hear their names.

Dems were very successful in using Fed Funds to bankroll their campaigns by taking kickbacks from fraudsters who dems helped them get money. Dems must have gotten a few billion out of the deal without any overhead....

Here’s how they defraud taxpayers in Minnesota.

Thieving Somali Abdinajib Yussuf pled guilty to one count of wire fraud—accused of running a fraudulent autism center. Yussuf opened Star Autism Center in St. Cloud Minnesota in 2020:
<><>he falsely claimed to provide one-on-one “therapy” to children with autism.
<><>Yussuf colluded with Somali parents to enroll kids into his phony center,
<><>kids enrolled were not actually diagnosed with autism.
<><>the thieving lying parents got kickbacks for enrollments
<><>Yussuf connived w/ a professional to “qualify” kids for autism services.
<><>Yussuf sent some $200,000 back home to Kenya,
<><>he purchased a $100,000 Freightliner semi w/ stolen tax dollars.

Court documents say Yussuf submitted millions of dollars worth of falsified claims for Medicaid reimbursement. He collected more than $6 million. Star Autism Center was raided by the FBI in 2024.

The Reveal ... like peeling an onion, the deeper you go the harder you cry.

Hubs and I work hard for our money, first as dairy farmers and now as factory hands. I have a permanent injury from an accident at work. (I could hear bones breaking. Never thought that would happen outside of a farm accident or getting thrown by a horse. I digress.)

The least the government can do is responsibly oversee the money we give literal blood, sweat, and tears to earn.
