Fair comment.
I'm just a fan of holding everyone accountable for what they say, period. The cognitive dissonance of us justifiably hopping on anything stupid/offensive anyone on the left says, while at the same time....
Anyway, I know you get it. It's just that statements like the one made by this woman are really the only effective opportunity to make that point.
And to be clear, I'm absolutely not making the point that those kind of comments on our side should change how people vote. To me, the difference between what we offer and what they offer is gargantuan. BUT, there are other voters out there whose votes really are effected by flip statements, and that's why I worry.
When the democrats say that the SAVE act will prevent married women from voting they are stretching the truth so far it is ready to snap however there is a tiny bit of foundation there in that if a married women (or any man not using his birth name) was to not do the simple acts that would allow her to show that she was indeed a citizen of the US she would not be allowed to vote. IMHO If you are unable to figure out how to get your birth and marriage certificate despite there being any number of people who's job it literally is to help you procure those thing you shouldn't be voting but that is, as I said, only my opinion.
There is however a difference between overstating the case and a flat out lie.
One does not equal the other.
