There are reports on social media and in the Israeli press that a US Airstrike whacked the new Supreme Leader of Iran within hours of him being named as Khamanei's successor.

If new evidence emerges from Tehran or major outlets, that could change quickly. For now, treat the “death” reports as unconfirmed and likely false or premature.
