"It's completely unacceptable that the mayor is not condemning this full-throated," Tenney said.
The incident has put Mamdani at odds with police leaders after he characterized the episode as a snowball fight that went too far, while the NYPD and police unions described it as an assault and said officers were injured.

At this point they need to just shut up and leave. This is the time to vote with your feet and in their case chose their life over the city’s desire to see them harmed.
Sometimes you have to leave a job for your own health, this is one of those times.
It would be wrong for a political figure to say that but what about the union? Don’t they look after the interests of their members? They seem to be more interested in tolerating Mamdani. How can they serve and protect the citizen voters who have contempt for them?
Manly men who suffer from battered women’s syndrome. That’s what it looks like.
What are they complaining about? Every one knows Mandami hates NYPD. This is the end of NYC.
It’s good that Rep. Tenney is speaking up on this issue. But to be honest, her words don’t carry much weight. After all, she’s a Republican politician who is criticizing a Democrat politician.
Here’s what would carry weight: A public comment by NYPD Commissioner. Jessica Tisch. She is well-regarded by almost everyone. A public comment from her might help Mamdani get his mind right.
He didn’t just deny the attack, he tried to make it sound like kids throwing a few snowballs.
The USA is a balkanized mess of leftist-controlled dangerous areas with an oasis of good found here and there. Productive people are moving to the good areas as destroyers congregate in the loony strongholds.
It’s too late. A public comment would be the equivalent of getting an F for the day.
And, I for one, welcome this dumpster fire. You got what you voted for, idiots. We told ya.
Like I said on another thread about the cops being pelted with snowballs, will Mamdani call it a “snow fight” if the same thing happens to him?
Why do all headline and legal documents allow the use of “failed” when it is in fact “refused”.
Criminals do not “Fail” to drop the gun, they “refused the order” to drop the gun. Mamdamny did NOT condemn means he approved. things are often black or white, yes or no, hot or cold... Creation of grey areas where folks desire to insert their truth contextually instead of FACTS.
Let your yea be yea and your nay be nay.... every thing else is offering haven for lying and sinful, wicked behavior and words.
One term that I loathe is when they say someone who deliberately used or took illegal drugs "accidentally overdosed." You don't "accidentally" use drugs. It's a deliberate act. Any time anyone snorts, ingests, or injects drugs into theirselves could result in an overdose. It isn't an accident.
Would the cops have arrested them?
From what I can tell, New Yorkers, as a whole, love their city. Not my cup of tea, but then, I’m from the boring Midwest. It would be hard to leave, especially if you didn’t really want to.
Everyone there is from someplace else.

A bifurcated country we are.
“Every one knows Mandami hates NYPD.”

Except Trump who keeps inviting him to the White House. Second time in as many months. Such visits should be reserved for respected and honorable guests. Mamdani is asking for money and favors, of course.
