How stupid are the police in Branson?
As stupid as the guy that penned this travesty of journalism?
Excuse me, I meant ‘Gal’.
Juicy smellit syndrome again?
Ahhh… what’s “the rest of the story”?
Wait?
Whites commit crimes too?
Who knew?
FBI:
Convictions:
Violent Crime: 2.6 Black / 1.0 White
Murder: 6.4 Black / 1.0 White
Robbery: 7.1 Black / 1.0 White
Aggravated Assault: 2.1 Black / 1.0 White
Deep in the Ozarks, there was a small kerfuffle.
But Furry found it.
Yay!
Meanwhile, near my neighborhood near Portland, an actual shooting occurred:
Three teens face attempted murder charges in Rocky Butte shooting
PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Police officers arrested three teenagers late Wednesday night who they say were involved in a shooting on Rocky Butte that left a man seriously wounded, the Portland Police Bureau said.
…
Officers surrounded the vehicle and arrested 18-year-old D’Angelo D. Smartlowit, of Gresham, and two boys, a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old, both of Gresham.
*****
D’Angelo. D. Smart. Lo. Wit.
I’m taking bets before the trial pictures.
Well, they did say the “N word” so I suppose they deserve everything they get. That’s sarcasm. I hope they don’t get Arberyed.
That first sentence is so confusing I didn't know if six people are mentioned or four people. I agree that it's horrible writing, but then you make a small flub yourself. It's a glass-house thing...
A grammar Nazi on FR? Gimme a break.
I see nothing wrong with trying to write/speak according to rules of proper grammar, especially when you are criticizing someone else’s writing. If someone wants to continue speaking with poor grammar, they are free to do so. But know it can impact how people view you. Sometimes (i.e., a job interview) it can make a difference.
You are probably right, it was use of the N word more than anything that is the problem. If it were the Blacks with the guns and making the threats, they would not have been arrested or charged.
