“This is one of those times I could myself pull the lever on Old Sparky or the Drop Floor”

I’d wish for a firing squad so I could be one of the executioners.

A wee bit bloodthirsty today, aren’t we all?

How ‘bout some real details - this fossil retired in 1996, nearly 30 years ago. The list of aircraft he was familiar with looks like an inventory of Davis-Monthan’s boneyard. Anything he might have remembered from his service is probably published or available in common video games now.

Willing to bet there’s a lot more to the story that’s not being told.

You would mitigate his treasonous actions with the idea that what he knew was not significant. I reject the defense as it ignores the betrayal for gain he committed if found guilty.

You also assume the planes like the F-15 are somehow no longer relevant, yet it is still a significant component in our military. Just because it has age does not mean all its capabilities are known to the enemy, that is a false assumption.

Your argument only serves to embolden future traitors if it were to be given any credibility and has no bearing on his intent.

It WAS told, in the DOJ story. Guy was most recently a contract pilot trainer on F-35 simulators, so he has all the latest info on F-35 strengths and weaknesses, and our tactics.

In all fairness, the legalinsurrection article did a poor job of detailing the guy's most recent experience. The info I cited was from another article on a another FR thread.

I'm guessing that $$ more than support of the CCP was his motive.

"The love of money is the root of all evil" - 1 Timothy 6:10.

So, this schmuck will be tried for treason - and rightly so. My question is why haven't traitorous elites in government been tried for their treasonous activities?

A few examples of traitorous elites:

During the 1990s, the Bill Clinton administration was accused of compromising national security by allowing the transfer of sensitive missile guidance technology to the People's Republic of China.

During Hillary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State (2009–2013), the State Department was accused of a "pay-to-play" scheme involving the approval of massive weapons sales to foreign nations that had donated to the Clinton Foundation. Reports indicate that the State Department authorized over $151 billion in separate Pentagon-brokered deals for 16 countries that were donors to the foundation.

Hillary Clinton’s State Department was a member—approved the sale of a Canadian mining company to Rosatom, Russia’s state nuclear agency.[9] This deal effectively gave Russia control over roughly 20 percent of U.S. uranium extraction capacity. Allegations surfaced that the approval coincided with $145 million in donations to the Clinton Foundation from investors linked to Uranium One, as well as a $500,000 speaking fee paid to Bill Clinton by a Russian investment bank with ties to the deal.

You put a lot of words in other peoples mouths.

And you’re clearly interested in seeing violence done to others. I’ve seen your screen name a lot lately for some reason, and that trend is clear.

If this guy’s been doing wrong (as the article clearly suggests), lets see what the evidence brings to his trial. Then let the duly authorized governing body make the call.

This whole trend of people who claim to be conservative seemingly rushing to their impulse for violent punishment, before any due process - very disturbing.

That is the sort of thing the godless left does.

Just stop, I am speaking to the act and my opening thread clearly speaks to my distaste for such an act. Then my first response to you also clearly states “if found guilty.”

I will simply ask where I stated anywhere due process was to be skipped and go straight to punishment.

The burden is on you, prove your accusation “rushing to their impulse for violent punishment, before any due process”

All you are doing is trying to gin up a controversy that does not exist through a baseless accusation, quote where I made any such desire, statement, or even implied to punish without due process.

So, this schmuck will be tried for treason

Not likely, since he didn't actually commit it. He WILL be tried for violating the Espionage Act, and probably other things as well. Things for which Hillary Clinton SHOULD be tried ... and yet she walks free.

As a historical note: Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were not tried for treason, they were tried for espionage. And convicted. And fried. As was appropriate.
