The furious NYPD on Tuesday released photos of a pair of miscreants it says are wanted for pounding two on-duty cops with snow and ice as the officers responded to a snowball-slinging mob in a Manhattan park.
The department is investigating whether there are more suspects in Washington Square Park attack, as well, law-enforcement sources said.
One of the suspects in the photos released Tuesday is shown hauling a massive snowball the size of a boulder over his head.
The other alleged cop-attacker can be seen packing a smaller handful of snow while standing face-to-face with a uniformed officer.
The mayhem erupted when a mob of unruly winter warriors descended on the Greenwich Village park around 4 p.m., hours after a historic blizzard dumped nearly 2 feet of snow in the borough.
The snow-commotion got out of hand when a concerned bystander called 911 to report a disorderly group of teens throwing snow off the rooftop of a small structure within the park.
Two cops assigned to the Washington Square Park detail responded first, only to be pelted with snow by the ruffians.
The cops called for backup, drawing multiple officers in vans, sources said. Those cops, too, had snowballs thrown at them.
One officer suffered a possible contusion behind his eye, while another had a headache from getting hit in the back of the head, a law-enforcement source said.
Both cops were treated at a hospital, but not admitted, the source said.

If there were just snowballs used, grow the F@#$ up, already! OTOHand, ice is the same as a rock — attempted murder. React accordingly.
Throw ANYTHING at a police officer and be shot dead on the spot. That should be the rule of engagement.
